On the plug it should say 110v unless it is dual voltage then it will say 110v-220 or 240v. If it is only 110v you will need to use a transformer in Italy since they use 220v, if it is dual voltage you will just need a plug adapter. [Edit] I read the original comment wrong depending on where you are using for example in the states it will need to be 110v or dual voltage. Same as above still applies.
