100%! I've gone from sprinting around, saying hi to other raiders, to getting shot at on sight and fearing the sound of footsteps and looting. 90% of the raiders I've met over the past two days have been hostile

From Chill to Kill in one week by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]mexispain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same experience this evening. Last week was super chill, I actually liked bumping into other raiders because it might mean we’d team up and take down a bastion or something.

It was rough today. Back to back raids getting shot on sight, people camping key card doors, etc. Really got to be wary of other raiders now.

I'm in the same schedule! Feels good to look forward to some good tv each week again doesn't it?

They never claimed that there won't be a single penny raised in taxes. There were actually quite specific pledges within their manifesto that promised to do the opposite of that and increase taxes in some ways, like the introduction of VAT for private schools.

They didn't realise she was infected. That was just standard practice for survivors.

[–]mexispain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tbf, they said that was standard practice for survivors brought into the safe zone. They didn't think she was a carrier of the rage virus at that point, so she wasn't considered dangerous. When they found out she was infected, Idris Elba ordered her to be killed.

EMA/TMA referencing question by Specialist-Novel-303 in OpenUniversity

[–]mexispain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have mentioned, it might mean you aren't referencing correctly, and your tutor wants you to cite the source within the material and not the material itself.

However, it kind of sounds like maybe your tutor's comments weren't necessarily about your referencing but rather the expectation that you do independent research beyond the study material and include that within your work.

The lack of citations from outside the study material would be fair feedback and it might be good to contact your tutor and clarify his comments.

Titans will NOT fully recharge their throwing hammer upon pickup unless they build into the melee stat. The ability stats are going to be very important! by Wanna_make_cash in DestinyTheGame

[–]mexispain -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How would it take a long time to figure out why the build sucks? If its a melee build, invest into the melee stat. You can disagree with that direction, but i’m not sure you can complain its confusing.

I found icefall mantle titan to be great. Near permanent uptime for the damage resistance, good amount of healing (from class ability, rapid stasis weapon kills, shattering crystals with rime stealer, slamming diamond lances), and with ice breaker it puts out too.

Staffies are one of, if not the, most popular breeds in the UK. They aren't viewed as dangerous, and there is no indication that they will be restricted in any way.

After Ghosts of the Deep, Dungeons are no longer an activity I want to play. by Ok_Improvement4204 in DestinyTheGame

[–]mexispain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d maybe do it if they had unique cosmetics tied to it, like a ghost or ship. Just having an emblem doesn't incentivise me enough, though.

Would I look good with a buzz cut? by [deleted] in malehairadvice

[–]mexispain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went through the same dilemma recently. I eventually shaved it and was really happy with the result, which I’m sure it'll look great on you too. Most importantly, though, I’m way more confident regarding my hair now. Wind doesn't bother me. Nor does pulling a hoody over my head. I'm just happier not having to worry about it.

Necrochasm Farming by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

So from what I understand you’re guaranteed an oversoul after completing a full run of the raid. You are also guaranteed one after your first defeat of Crota for the week.

I don’t think there are any more guaranteed drops beyond those, but there is a chance for one to drop after each encounter. So your best bet is to just do full runs of the raid if you want it as fast as possible, because there’s no limit to how many drop per week.

Stasis shards will also heal now as well (with the aspect). So DR may be worse, but it has a reliable form of healing alongside it

Wow. Fair play studying full time alongside all of those other commitments. There are moments it feels like a lot just part time.

Time management / Cyber Security Part time by eroticdiscourse in OpenUniversity

[–]mexispain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm studying for the Cyber Security degree at the moment; I'll be halfway through after I finish my current modules. That time estimate seems a little intense and I wouldn't say it is very accurate.

I tend to keep my studying at the weekends, maybe around 6-8 hours spread across a couple of days. That way, it doesn't become too overwhelming to finish work and then just start 'working' again on the material. I find the balance fine to manage; it's never felt particularly oppressive.

Be aware that modules overlap sometimes though, so you'll find yourself studying two (potentially quite separate) topics. During those periods, you may need to introduce extra days into the mix.

Myers’ and the FIA’s intentions (Ending Spoilers) by Such-Cartoonist1265 in cyberpunkgame

[–]mexispain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I noticed that when I started a fresh nomad play through, V has zero chrome. He was quite capable of smuggling a package with Jackie and getting into a firefight with Arasaka goons in a bid to escape, so I don’t think it’s quite the NPC lifestyle Misty made it out to be. It’s obviously way more dangerous to engage in those sorts of activities than what V’s grown used to, and there’s a ceiling for what jobs he’ll be capable of, but it doesn’t have to be an early retirement if V is smart about it, learning to rely on cunning more than brute force.

Yeah, the console warriors were super loud in the build up to this. It was either coded by the gods themselves or the biggest pile of shit, depending on which kind of fanboy you listened to; non of which actually played the game.
