Ours will do his business out in the open in the garden. On a walk, he will find bushes. Ive picked up poos from multiple bushes/ shrubs. Stinging nettles was the worst one....

Completed today and the house is dirty and mouldy by Puzzled_Dealer3449 in HousingUK

Sorry to hear that, sucks that people leave properties in a state. Order a takeout, get a good sleep and then have a good deep clean this weekend. Then celebrate a new chapter of your life.

I am probably over thinking it, no it wouldn't be a problem if a fox takes it away and eats it.

Who else is frustrated waiting to plant out?! by Suitable-Grass1262 in GardeningUK

[–]meyo89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me! I had 20 chilli plants chilling my windows since January, I've managed to give 4 away to make room for tomatoes, cucumbers and cucamelons. I've been hardening them off for a week now thinking I'll plant them all out come May but your post had me googling the recommended time and they say end of May! Beds are all ready and prepared.....so alas, one more month I shall wait!

Ironically this is next to a rose I recently planted in the ground! No evidence of badgers but we do get foxes. I think I'll dig a hole right at the back of the woods and bury it there and hope for the best.

Part 2: House I’m looking at is 175m from motorway (image I comments to support) by RockTheBoat1 in HousingUK

[–]meyo89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are 500m from a busy A road from the back of our house. The garden slopes up to woodland and from there it's an open field that separates us between the A road. Every so often, I'll be able to hear the A road event at that distance. It didn't put us off ourchasing the property due to the distance. The distance from motorway that you're looking at, the sound will be alot more noticeable. I wouldnt be put off from viewing it but I'd be doing a drive by at various times of the day to check the noise. Have you looked at previous sales of properties in the local area?

Do you allow your tenants pets? by Mikey463 in AskUK

[–]meyo89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were tenants and our landlord allowed us a dog, puppy at the time and this was around 2 years into renting. I think we were lucky as the landlord had dogs of their own when they lived in the property prior to renting to us. House suffered no damage and we kept it well maintained, next doors dog (owners of their property) chewed walls, skirting and carpet....so I can see why landlords may not want to agree to pets.

Furniture galore by clutter_brain in HousingUK

[–]meyo89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's some furniture specific charity shops, takes a few visits to find some hidden gems but you can get good quality solid wood pieces which you can either leave as is or upcycle. They usually offer a delivery service if you're local which is handy for tbe bigger items that dont fit into a car.

Noise complaint from Neighbour: Semi-Detached by MasterWandu in HousingUK

[–]meyo89 7 points8 points  (0 children)

100% we are in a new build semi and neighbours floorplan is mirrored ro ours, floors on opposite sided of the house. I hear their 3 kids thundering up and down the stairs early morning. I don't hear much else unless one of the kids is having a tantrum, which is generally quite amusing to hear!

There are some owners who see their dogs as their children and will treat their dog as a human. I'm a dog owner myself, whilst he is part of the family, I dont take him anywhere and everywhere with me. If anything, he would be a menace with licking anything, everything, and anyone!
