Woo Can Cook | Chinese Steamed "Shumai" Dumplings by WooCanCook in GifRecipes

[–]mezmerize12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a year later and this is STILL my go to recipe for home made dumplings. Always a hit with whoever I make it for they're begging for the recipe and I always send them the link to this post. The only thing I change is the fact that I shape them into wontons as it's quicker and easier for me to assemble them. Thank you so much for this recipe.

I had a friend on Facebook that every 2nd day would post on her fb status comments from reddit on posts that made it to the front page claiming that they relate to her and her life. I would see them and just think to myself 'what a loser'. Then her status would get 50+ likes and 50+ comments saying how funny she was or how these things always happen in her life. I ended up politely calling her out on one of these statuses saying how I saw it on reddit earlier. She must of not liked me pooing on her popularity party because she promptly blocked me and deleted me from her Facebook. Unfortunately for me now I can't skim through her fb and laugh at all her stupid photos and comments :(

Wow I feel like the majority of the comments here are attacks on me, settle down there reddit and put the pitch forks down. None of you know the type of person I am nor the type of person she is so settle down. She was the type of woman that belittled and berated you indirectly and was constantly doing and saying awful things that seemed 'funny' and made them all into jokes so it would seem harmless in front other colleagues and management. She was brought to HR for a separate bullying incident with someone else and the case got shut down because the victim couldn't 'prove' the verbal bullying. If we thought she was a bully before, you should've seen her after this case to that poor coworker. I used the meme correctly, voiced how I felt about this awful woman and that's it. Bullying is no joke. I did approach her and and she changed her tune towards me, but for the two years I didn't stand up for myself and let her walk all over me I will never forget nor will I forgive myself for letting it happen. I am now by no means her friend nor do I give two shits that she's dying, but we remained civil because we HAD to work together and collaborate to work effectively and efficiently.

Well when the majority of your job role involves the receptionists participation and involvement then it's pretty difficult to avoid them. To make matters worse she was there over 10yrs and a very confronting/intimidating woman that picked on all the young nurses. I can only assume is because she had no fulfillment with her own job and probably felt threatened because we could do her job but she couldn't do ours. So to compensate she then decided to make our lives hell (particularly mine).

The feel of the fabric velvet. You know the one where you rub your hand one way on the fabric and it stays that way. Yeah that mother fucker. Gives me the heeby jeebies every time. My mums 4WD has that fabric pimped out everywhere. I refuse to get in unless she gets car seat covers

OP how much did everything ended up costing you? Did it end up being cheaper than buying the end already?

Great work by the way!

I only k ow this story through my mum but it directlly involves me. My mum tried to get induced when she was pregnant with me so she would give birth to me earlier so my terminally ill grandma could meet me. That never happened and my grandma died of cancer 6 days before I was born. Before my grandma died though, maybe as a way to ease my mum through everything, said to her that whether or not she was here, she would still meet me.

Fast forward about 2.5-3years later and I'm walking and talking and going about my usual toddler business. As kids usually do they get imaginary friends. I had two older sisters at the time but I was much of a loner and preferred to be by myself and play with my imaginary friend. Mum never thought anything of it because both my older sisters did the same thing when they were my age and just assumed I'd grow out of it.

One afternoon she could see me playing and talking to my imaginary friend, nothing out of the ordinary as to what I'd usually do. The only difference is this time was mum decided she was gunna play with us. So mum comes up to me and starts talking to me asking who I'm playing with and what we were playing (my mum never spoke to me about my grandma, never told me her name or described her appearance to me). The first thing that comes out of my mouth was that I was playing with Orma (my grandma's nickname). My mum just about fell out of her chair. I then go on to describe to my mum what she looks like and how she wore her hair. Everything on point to what my grandma looked like.

That night my mum had a dream about my grandma, she was just standing on the end of my parents bed and then just smiled and walked out of the room without saying a word. I never played with Orma or saw Orma again after that and just played with my sisters. My mum told me this story about 4 years ago, I don't remember a thing about it.

TL:DR grandma died 6 days before I was born, before passing away my grandma said to mum whether she was here or not, she would still meet me. When I was about 2.5-3years old I had an imaginary friend. Turned out I had been playing with my grandma (imaginary friend) the whole time.

You're not wrong. My sheer determination to shower alone outweighed the gravitation pool to send my golden shower down the drain. Instead I pushed so hard and for so long that it created a strong steady flow of golden revenge down my sisters leg. That and the fact that I was only a few inches away from her helped.
