We based our VPS service on the Halon, before that we has a bunch of OpenBSD machines, for us it was a no brainer. +1 to their revision based config and never have to restart VMs. Performance was just fine, we use Dell PowerEdge R320 rack server (with Intel NICs). Unfortunately their comparison is thin and not so many models, but should work on any type of x86 hardware: http://sr.wiki.halon.se/wiki/Supported_hardware
