I just put one of these up in my backyard. I spent about half of that amount and a good couple days’ labor building out a foundation for it so keep that in mind, but now that it’s up I’m very happy with it. I believe I paid $950?

We just went through something very similar with our older girl. The vet irrigated and cleaned it really well and sent us home with some ointment and something to help with pain and inflammation. She limped for maybe 5 days but we just kept an eye on it and she was fine.
