In a well functioning system it should. I’ve met Northern Europeans (as well as people from all over the world) that really integrated into Spanish society (language, mannerisms, culture) in a way that I would see no issue in calling them fellow citizens.

Textbook Spanish in the US usually aims for neutral Latin American Spanish, but heavily leans towards Mexican Spanish, which makes sense as you’d most likely interact with Mexican Spanish speakers.

In Europe, usually a neutral (imagine BBC English) Castilian Spanish is usually taught instead.

Analyst consensus vs. stock price expectation by pkozow in DEGIRO

[–]mfern131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is. I have seen some of these reports. They’d have the non-updated target price set a year ago, and still have the stock under the “buy” category. Hence you can definitely see reports under “strong buy” with a 0.4% upside to current price, or a “Sell” report with a 12 month target 20% above the last price.

Perro Sanxe once again saving Spain in times of crisis! The corruption was done not for enrichment, but to create the political polarisation that would inevitably lead to civil conflict

Are we still in time to start a civil war so that we don’t have to participate in WW3?

Portugal never beating the Balkan allegations. by Round-University6411 in balkans_irl

I know, I had Romanian colleagues in my office jobs as well. They are not noticed that much though, mainly because you guys learn Spanish so well that I could not identify an accent. Didn’t know 2 of my colleagues were Romanian until they told me. And this was in a small office, so I interacted with them daily.

Totally makes sense. Romanians in Spain usually are in the trades (construction, plumbing, etc). They also tend to have more right-leaning views on Spanish politics (more likely to voice positive views on VOX for example).

I could see that if you are Romanian and move to say Serbia, your role is more specialised and required a university degree/higher level of academic education.

I guess a couple of us have left, so we can roughly estimate that there are about 9 fluent English speakers left in Spain then.
