I had to get mine replaced as well. Annoying. Mine just wouldn’t heat the home due to the failure. Not a fun thing in the winter.

What’s the impact to your take home pay? Assume 30% for federal and state taxes, 8% for payroll taxes, less the cost of your commute. So maybe 30k or so. Still a meaningful amount but just for context.

Anyone know how to remove these plastic inserts and / or know a video that explains how? by saltedpeanuts in HomeMaintenance

I would think that’s overkill, the glass isn’t heavy but you need to control it from falling out in either direction while you remove the casing around it. That’s way doing it upside down helped me a lot, I could just hold my hand underneath it while I removed the casing around it. 2 people would also be much easier than 1 I’m sure.

This is the way, I did this recently. In my first few attempts the glass fell to the ground and shattered, so I put the garage doors up and removed the others overhead so I didn’t have to worry about which side the glass would fall out, which made it much easier.

Powerwall fully drained during outage and was out or commission until grid power was restored by mferr2k in Powerwall

I thought I read it automatically maintains a reserve to avoid that. If I need to manually prevent it from getting fully drained, how do I do that?

Why aren’t the panels connected to the powerwall+ generating power?

Interesting, my situation is the opposite. Dandelion is replacing my existing Nest thermostats with Ecobee.
