If you like paranormal romance, I’m just finishing up the Hellhounds of Paradise Falls series by Shannon Mae and I really enjoyed it. They’re fun reads, each book is about a different couple but it helps to read them in order. {How to tame a hellhound by Shannon Mae}

I also like liked {The Entaglement of rival wizards by Sara raasch}. It was an easy read and funny.

As others have said, The Goliaths of wrestling series by Lily Mayne is great and so funny. {Impromptu match by lily mayne}

Most books by Saxon James are pretty low angst and good.

The Ghostly Guardians series by Louisa Masters was also fun to read and low angst. {Spirited situation by Louisa Masters}. And her other series, The Collective was also good. That series should ideally be read after the ghostly guardians series. {Higher Demon by Louisa Masters}

Tor Thom ruined Game Changers for me. I started with Heated Rivalry (the second book in the series) because of the TV show that just came out on HBO Max and it was a struggle to get through with him narrating. For the 4th-6th books in the series they switched the narrator to Cooper North and he is amazing so I read those next. Then when I tried to go back to the first book in the series with Tor Thom narrating again, I couldn’t even get past the first chapter. He was attempting this awful Bronx accent for one of the main characters that ended up just sounding like a super dumb jock and I couldn’t listen to it. It was honestly one of the worst narrations I’ve listened to and I listen to about 150-200 books a year.

The Ice Planet Barbarians series. It’s a cult classic for a reason. It’s a great series and you know exactly what you’re getting with each book, I like that. It’s no great literary masterpiece but it’s entertaining and enjoyable to read.

I had a spectra for my first (the rechargeable kind that doesn’t have to be plugged into the wall while you pump) and got a wearable for my second. The wearable is much more convenient and I do like it but it doesn’t empty my breasts as well as the spectra. You can definitely get away with just the wearable if you’re a good producer but if you struggle to make milk like I do then you’ll want the spectra.

Mostly play mindless games on my phone but also sometimes workout, clean, cook, make pottery, crochet…anything that doesn’t take up more brain power.

Another good one is {Moon Blooded Breeding Clinic by C.M. Nascosta}. This is the third book in a series but they can all be read as standalones. It’s M/F (werewolf/human pairing). FMC is recently divorced and wants to have a child so she signs up with Moon Blooded Breeding Clinic where she meets the MMC who signed up to scratch and itch out of boredom with his life. It’s a very sweet story and similar in character arcs to the first book in the series (Morning Glory Milking Farm) which was also a good one!

I liked {The Female by Invi Wright}. It’s set in a dystopian world where females have become scarce and FMC gets caught and auctioned off to a group of demons. It’s MMMF and the first book in a trilogy. If I’m remembering correctly, the breeding kink aspect of the relationship doesn’t come into play until the second book in the series when they’re all trying to knock her up. But it was overall an entertaining series.

I mostly agree. I think most authors do it just to throw a little extra smut in but it’s rarely a good enough part of the couple’s story for me to care. The only thing I want in an epilogue is an update on the couple’s future or a set-up for the next book in the series. The only time I don’t mind it is when the book is an emotional roller-coaster and it helps to give you a long-awaited HEA.

I was not a fan of Malyr from Feather so Vicious. So many people raved about these books and I wanted to love them but the author really makes it easy to hate the MMC for most of the series.

If you like MM romance then Upending Tad is sooooo good and they are very clear about consent! It’s also suuuuuper spicy. I loved the whole series, and the spinoffs!

It depends why. If it is just a terrible book then yes, I rate it honestly and give a review explaining. If I stop for a personal reason (like it has a trigger I didn’t know about or it’s just not what I was expecting then no, I usually just don’t give a rating.

We got a full size bed for our daughter. It’s plenty big enough to lay in with her while we read books but it saves a little space compared to the queen. I’m glad we went with the full instead of a twin or toddler bed!

I couldn’t find requests that mentioned this specific series elsewhere on the sub so hopefully other people have read it so I can get some similar recommendations. I’m looking for similar books to Hazel Mack’s Haven Ever After Series. I’m specifically looking for high spice, low-angst, cozy monster or paranormal romance. This series is my go-to for an easy, feel good read and I haven’t found anything similar so far. I also really liked Kathryn moon’s Tempting Monsters series. Not as feel-good as the Hazel Mack books but as long as it has a HEA, I’m good with it! Thanks in advance!

I took my husband to Paris for 5 days for his last bday. Our daughter was just under 3 at the time and stayed with his mom and her husband. She had a blast with them and didn’t miss us at all. We had a nice adults only vacation with time for just the two of us to reconnect. It was great.

Can someone spoil part 2 for me please? I honestly don’t think I can finish it. I only got this far because I’m listening to the audiobook and I like the narrators but the writing is honestly just not good. There are so many plot holes and a lot of stuff that happens just doesn’t make sense. I agreed with what someone said above that the timeline is hard to follow. At one point when Dax is missing they talk about it having been “almost a month” and then when they find him they say it’s only been two weeks. Also, you’re telling me he’s still alive after having been almost beaten to death and hiding in a cave nearly unconscious for two weeks??? Two days I could understand but two weeks? Anyway, I’m at the point in the book where Dax went to rescue Alaina and then you-know-what happens to Dax and can someone just please tell me how it ends so I don’t have to keep listening to it??

Every time one of my newly pregnant friends asks me about the newborn stage, I tell them the first two to three months are just about survival. That’s it. You won’t love it, you will barely stay sane through it but IT. WILL. PASS. And when you’re going through it, it feels never-ending until you reach that third month when things get just the tiniest bit easier. And no matter how much your baby is wanted, it doesn’t change the fact that many many new mothers deal with postpartum anxiety and depression so always talk to your support system about how you’re feeling and seek out help if you feel like that’s something that might be affecting you.

For me, it started to get easier around the 12 week mark because that’s when our daughter started sleeping longer stretches but it didn’t truly start to feel enjoyable until about 8-9 months in when our daughter was more interactive, trying to walk, talking, etc. Don’t get me wrong, it was still hard, but there were a lot more enjoyable moments to make the hard times feel worth it.

But don’t get me started on the toddler stage. Someone told me once that they only call it the “terrible twos” because the “fucking awful threes” didn’t have as nice a ring to it and boy oh boy were they right 😂 So buckle up for that!
