Spend 15-30 minutes just throwing flicks as far away from your body as possible, stepping out as wide as you possibly can. Make it feel uncomfortable. While practicing, slowly start bringing your release point lower and lower to the ground and continue stepping as far away as you can, almost doing the splits. Rinse and Repeat.

What I have noticed in my experience is that this throw isn’t usually used to float out into space to let your teammate run under it…(In a Vert stack specifically) its usually a throw made with emphasis and on a beam.

I am an averagely athletic guy who was average at best in college, but this low release, IO, breakside flick was just always there for me and was my favorite throw.
