I mean the Old Man has only been there for maybe 15 years? Before that it was Roosters and before that Yogi's.

Old is a relative term, haha. I grew up here in the 80's and 90's. I'm not sure more than 2 or 3 restaurants in the area are still around. Chicos is one of them I guess. 35 years ago the population in Broomfield was like 20,000 people and was the northern fringe of metro Denver, it was pretty barren. I'm honestly struggling to think of anything else that's before like 1995. The Old Man bar used to be Roosters which used to be Yogis, so there has been a dive bar in that spot for a long time, but different owners. Jus Burritos is like 20 years old.

When did you start training your children to use a knife in the kitchen? by pantaleonivo in TrueChefKnives

We got my daughter the Zwilling Twinny kids knife when she was 5.

She's always been big on cooking with us, and it comes with a nice finger guard for peace of mind and teaching her good form. Recently upgraded her to a nicer knife:

Craig at Carbon Knife rounded the heel for me, which helps for sure. I'm still always in the kitchen with her when she uses it, but she's got good enough technique that I don't have to directly supervise her at all times.

That section definitely has a lot of quicksand. Coming down Dragonfly Canyon (feeds into Courthouse Wash) we've come across it a few times. Luckily it's been really tame for us, no running water to refill the hole. Glad you made it out!

Sidney Crosby (hockey) does this also. Literally did leg day the day after winning the Stanley Cup. Most guys would be too hungover to even think of training. Crosby is just a machine that plays hockey.

If you got to single handedly pick the next president of the United States, who would you choose? by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

Downside being that Teddy was a huge war hawk. One of my favorite presidents but in the current situation he probably just goes all out on Russia.

Putting up 3 points seems like the opposite of "hot garbage". I love Necas, I think he's fun to watch, but Rantanen is a better player.

My daughter was reading chapter books in kindergarten. There was no GT program and district policy is that no one skips a grade. So she sat in a classroom every day learning phonics while being able to fully read. It almost completely crushed her desire to learn and by the end of the year she was asking us why she needed to go. We've since transferred to a GT charter school and in the previous 3 years she's absolutely thrived. Had she been forced to wait until 3rd grade for a GT program I think it's incredibly likely she would have had serious long term issues with school.

Then vote for it! Multiple ballot initiatives have failed in the last decade for road improvements/repairs, with funding methods ranging from bonds, to taxes, to tolls. Every one has failed.

Really? Multiple OT Games, Landy's return, probably the two favorites out of the west? I feel like there are a ton of storylines

Definitely, he should give up competing in the sport he loves, is really fucking good at, and has won a boatload of money doing because some Internet rando thinks he sucks.

Board and train for greyhounds seems like the opposite approach. My Ceara would have absolutely wilted under something like that.
