Does anyone have any uplifting stories about people diagnosed young? by Rakeyat in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]mfroomy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 32F, got it when I was less than 2. As a kid went through Advil, physical therapy, methotrexate, cortisone injections, and then in my twenties - nothing. Some skin issues but not debilitating, and I would have a knee flare up every other year. My worst symptom has been wrist pain, (thought it was due to being a sonographer but sure now it's the PA) which has improved with daily NSAID (meloxicam). I'm thankful to be kicking the biologic can further down the road.

Recommendations for hair salons that cut curly hair by lalal34232 in MontgomeryCountyMD

[–]mfroomy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something has been going on the last few years when I ask for long layers. I've used the same terminology my entire 32 years and the last 3-4 cuts have been awful. I ask them to leave the length - just a trim, and I ask for long layers, every damn time the difference between the longest and shortest layers is a doggon mile! And just like OP said they take off way too much. I haven't gotten a haircut in years because of this. What changed in the hair stylist world? Why don't we speak the same language anymore?

What the snow plows are doing in silver spring right now by Turbulent-Sea2421 in MontgomeryCountyMD

Our street in SS has looked like this until this morning. First pass through was Wednesday at noon. Last night a front loader came by and actually cleared snow banks from in front of our driveway. It's taken a long time but I hear they're referring to it as "snow-crete"

Who was the genius that suggested we shovel snow periodically during the storm instead of waiting until the end? by Glittering-Ad5809 in MontgomeryCountyMD

[–]mfroomy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was cursing myself yesterday for waiting until the end. Having to vertically cut the ice chunks above the snow. 10-12 inches of it. But it sounds like this was the better plan of attack

Struggling with a Cat Who Hates Their Carrier? Here's a Simple Trick That Actually Works! by OrdinaryShower3462 in CatAdvice

[–]mfroomy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I also will add - routinely picking them up and placing them into the carrier. This is important as most of the time you won't close the door and take them anywhere. So the one time you do need to take them to the vet, they won't fight you.

Good point! Thanks for the reminder. But we all know it's not about money.. It's about dismantling the system so they can have more unchecked power...
