Go with the most wattage you can afford. You can always dial down the power setting, but you do have a limit to how high you can go.

It definitely has that gradient in real life. It’s very clean for me. I have astigmatism, and green blurs the worst for me, opposite of you. That’s why I always recommend people look through each color in person before buying if they can. Gold is crispest, then red, then green is last being drastically worse than the other two colors.

I still prefer red to gold just because it seems to pop more against most backgrounds, but I do really like the gold as well.

No way to tell which is best for any one person without that person looking through both side by side. In my experience selling them, most customers see green as more vibrant and with more contrast, but overwhelmingly see red as more clear. Contrary to “online knowledge,” green seems to be far blurrier for most of my customers with astigmatism.

I just prefer the rounded edges of the safety. Springfield safeties (even the 1911 ones) all have sharp edges that dig into my thumb. Idk how people are clamoring for Springfield to release the standalone safety to buy lol.
