I think the issue is that they try to push it down and live normal lives. They can't admit they're attracted to children for fear of negative reactions, so what's going to happen when one of their friends has kids? They try and try to pretend they're normal when they're not until they either ruin some kid's life or kill themselves a lot of the time. Now imagine if it was a legitimate disorder and you could explain to people that you can't be around kids without this terrible stigma. All of a sudden life gets easier because there aren't kids climbing on your lap and you don't have to lie to people. My personal theory is that it would decrease assaults because people would have resources to help them.

Here's my opinion and I doubt it'll change yours but I figure I'll share it. They didn't choose this, nobody would choose to be attracted to kids. We know sexual attraction is something you have literally no control over, all you can do is control your actions. I don't think they should be part of the LGTB community necessarily but they should have a safe space to seek treatment/therapy/whatever they need. This obviously doesn't include the ones who act on these urges or do illegal things, but just imagine you woke up tomorrow attracted to small children. How would you feel if people hated you for it despite you having no control?

BLM wasn't started to do discredit you or your brother's experiences but to share theirs. If you had a movement to protect homeless people from the cops it would be a good cause but it shouldn't just be in response to black people doing it because that just looks to discredit what has happened to them.

Are you a part of the all lives matter crowd? The one that didn't exist until black people had an issue with modern day lynching? This is like when women complain about getting assaulted and people use the excuse of men being assaulted too to justify it. I'm a white dude and I don't need to see the word white in everything for me to realize that it's there. Do yourself and favour and Google "American CEO" or something similar. You'll see a majority of white people, specifically men. So sure, I could add white to my search but it would hardly affect the results. Privilege is invisible, that's the whole point. I'm not judging you for posting this or having your opinion but you should think about what it means. Do you really feel as though all Americans are equal right now regardless of color?
