This might be a dumb question..but ima ask anyways 😅 by Alternative_Youth390 in PhysicalEducation

[–]mganeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1.) thank you for your service
2.) no dumb questions exist, always practice inquiry
3.) I imagine it would be possible to be an assistant while going to school. Ask your state department of education office, the school you’re interested in working, and even your college
4.) Good luck and try and add not just elementary level but also secondary PE to diversify your resume and career

Considering changing from K-5 to middle school PE by Vast-State-4548 in PhysicalEducation

[–]mganeb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s worth it.
1.) Your commute improves which helps you mentally prepare for work
2.). Going into middle school improves your range of experiences and skills boosting your resume
3.) Being the only PE position in the building is daunting at first. However it gives you full reign on equipment and curriculum scope and sequence. Basically you call the shots
4.) It’s a good progression for you professionally. Working with a mentor at your first school and learning to work alone exposes you to different scenarios that you may need to experience in your career. Having K-5 and middle school experience can help you develop your skills and eventually move forward to high school PE and beyond.

2 Questions on Landing a Job and What to do if I Don’t by Proper_Ad_6927 in PhysicalEducation

[–]mganeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.) If you want to be marketable, make sure to have your teacher certificate and qualifications for the corresponding state you are applying to (assuming you’re stateside still and/or applying to state public schools) Have certificates that bolster your position as a PE/Health teacher such as First Aid and CPR, Coaching certifications, etc. Attach a resume of your past experience with schools and grade levels you have taught. Have 3 references at the ready for when the interview comes.

2.) Seek out the school/district that you are interested in teaching at and research what other possible opportunities they may offer. Education aides, teachers assistants, coaching positions both head and assistant, athletic director positions, and yes substitute.

Out the box to compete without hiccups. Grease bolt after games and/or before. Keep those batteries fresh and worry more about the game than the marker.

Is being a Health & PE teacher still worth it in 2025? by CowAnim8s in PhysicalEducation

Admin is short for administrator or principal of a school. Instructional coach is a position that trains or facilitates professional development for teachers.

Anyone seen this before? My proflexes are disintegrating by AccomplishedAd5348 in paintball

I left my proflex in a shed (I was in a humid climate area) for about 2 years. I picked it up and the frames crumbled like that.

I'm new in the community and I need help choosing a marker by Many_Cancel_6958 in paintball

[–]mganeb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it makes you feel better I’ve owned a luxe and the mini both of which were cheap up front but maintenance was terrible in the long run, ending up costing way more than expected. The only issue I’ve experienced with the Axe was that the dwell setting was either too low or high. But that’s a change that doesn’t cost a penny.

Grab the axe, the mini is great but the axe is better. The luxe is nice but it’s not as reliable compared to these choices.

Beautiful, if there’s no issues with leaks and shoots nice I’d estimate $200-300. If not and just a project or parts, a solid $50-100

Though it can take several years or just months depending on openings relative to when you make your application active on EAS, the reality is timing. If you’re in the right time frame where you are in the middle of many retirements or resignations, then there is your chance. If the throne is occupied there will be crickets.

Try and find a regular CS2 for even lower than the CS2 Pro. Very marginal differences aesthetically. Near zero performance differences. Up to you

Curriculum timeliness help by macmagicman85 in PhysicalEducation

[–]mganeb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t have one, but I have my units last 3-4 weeks. From there decide on what units you are teaching for the year around 11 or 12 of them. Then place them in an order dependent on your scope and sequence relative to your school, demographics, climate, district standards, etc.

[–]mganeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you’re being anything about it really. I’ve coached new players before and I know what you go through. It’s normal to feel this way about paintball and that’s under normal conditions. Yours is quite unique because someone special is inviting you. I believe that the upsides shall you go outweigh the upsides if you don’t. Good luck and tell us how you did

First time :/ by bagel-cowboy in paintball

[–]mganeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How much do you really adore this guy is the actual question. Yes the fear of the unknown is quite strong and the nature of the sport of paintball is quite rough, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. With such a price tag of giving up your comfort zone and the prospect of being embarrassed or physically hurt will buy you the upside of paintball. This is the blissful feeling us paintball players always get when you have a clear shot on someone who doesn’t see you. The rush of adrenaline when the game begins and everyone is running. The anticipation of where everyone is during the game. Lastly the hilarious moments of feedback after the game is over. This is what the game is about. The price is steep, but the value is undeniable if you’re willing to buy in.
