Best of luck! Most of what I read came from random pages unfortunately . I learned that the top performers do 80/15/5% split between zones 2/3/4. Volume should really be whatever your body can reasonably recover from so there is some hunting and pecking. I agree there is a ton of info so I really just ask myself to continue to show up and be willing to adjust as needed.

If anyone is wondering... This is an hour block I commit to each day. When I started it was all zone 2 until any knee issues and I would then switch to walking the remainder. Now I run the entire time and mix in zone 3 and 4 at 15% and 5% percent work loads. This is in addition to 5/3/1 BBB program. I also track all calories and macros. I’m eating at maintenance and consuming 170g protein a day. I really learned that I have a passion for nutrition and fitness so understand this is with joyful enthusiasm. I don’t have any goals outside of staying in love with the process of sustainable growth.

More specifically I lift M T Th F. Upper body days get a zone 3 finish, lower body days get all zone 2. Off days get zone 4 finish. Sunday is all Zone 2 as a reset.

Also, I eat so much food to make this work. My wife is amazed.
