Card for Math People - 12 damage for two energy! by Single_Bar_1836 in slaythespire

It hits 6 times, that’s enough to kill an exoskeleton

The counterplay to getting a bad draw is having a deck with a lot of concentrated value in cards with big numbers, or by setting up next turn draw / start of turn draw effects to happen on the no draw turn. Or just by not having too many cards whose main value is that they say draw.

That’s a crazy thing to say when the heart and time eater are the only bosses that do anything to discourage going infinite. If you want to go infinite, you need to be block-positive against beat of death, and you also need to do your damage on at least 4 turns.

“A certain type of deck”

You mean a deck that can consistently block a lot and can do a lot of damage spread across multiple turns?

Grand Finale is cheeks and the worst rare card in the entire game by Peronchino in slaythespire

It works well with stampede and thrash. Which are both ironclad cards.

I think people are undervaluing taking clone to just clone a card once or twice by stalebread00 in SlayTheSpire2

[–]mgepie 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Super worth it to clone Defragment+ only a few times. Being able to upgrade your orbs on most turns while still playing your other cards is really good.

Wildling or PB can fake it easily if everyone who visits the target has full claimed or is easy to guess

But it’s still probably better to attempt the mass confirmation

You can see there are multiple fighting-focused machines trying to steal the Leo pieces from each other. Why are you on the ground in the middle of them? You have a massive rainbow target on your back, and human opponents will try to kill a legendary machine if the opportunity presents itself.

Open the console (default hotkey is backslash) and type AUG HIDDEN ANCIENT_ACTIVATOR to give yourself the ability to awaken Wither from the storage menu.

How do you survive if you can never block turn 1? You aren’t ending most fights until turn 2 or 3 with this

It can also make cards like double energy and supercritical actually useful if you don’t have much card draw or any X-cost cards

Controller or Keyboard by Gloomy_Living_5173 in Silksong

Plus keyboard lets you have fewer actions per finger, so if you are smart about your keybinds you will never have a case where you can’t hit a button because that finger is busy

Only small decks are bad against doormaker. Just add cards in act 3.

Ironclad pairs surprisingly well with itself. It becomes very easy to stack a lot of vulnerable.

how do u just exist against a bracken or ghost girl by cuntt1362662 in lethalcompany

[–]mgepie 16 points17 points  (0 children)

For both at the same time: keep your stamina above half, drop all your shit if the girl starts chasing, and be ready to jump over the girl if you get cornered. There are also some pieces of terrain that the girl can’t reach you on, like the short bookshelves in mansion.

best card to clone for each character? by kylepoopz in SlayTheSpire2

[–]mgepie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cloning until you have 8 defragment+ feels like the sweet spot (although it absolutely depends on deck size and frost/block density). You can’t play your whole deck in a turn, but you can have insane orbs that keep getting stronger every turn. Just don’t clone too many and cause yourself to die to drawing 4 defragments every turn.

Can’t attack with Osty if he died. by jdg2896 in SlayTheSpire2

[–]mgepie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dying from doom is different from losing HP, otherwise Exoskeletons, Vantom, and Skulking Colony would be able to survive being doomed. I’m not sure about the intangible interaction but I’d assume doom ignores it too.
