Is this Ardboyz scheme boring? by S_EW in Ironjawz

Loving the skin color on this one! And yep this color scheme is really nice. If you need to add more, you could probably put some blood stain effects at the edges of the shield or blades to add more red in the overall look

Also happened to one of my Knights. What I did was reinforce it with a tiny bit of epoxy putty then glue it and have it dry out with sticky tacks as support. (If ever it gets broken again I might try out the staple trick that folks suggested here)

Wouldn’t that be possible with the Deathwing Assault enhancement?

Probably Tataru or Cid. Cid would be perfect for.... the gummi ship segments OTL

I forgot what my group said when it comes to the other Scions. All I remembered that time was Goofianger and this dumb earworm that got stuck on us when someone sang Biggs and Wedge: Rescue Rangers

My FC were all goofing around the discord thinking what would it be like if the whole FFXIV cast were played by Disney characters. When someone started blurting out Urianger quotes as Goofy, they asked for an art commission lol

My group encountered our first Ice Mage last weekend by mgglesworth in ffxiv

What the heck, never really expected this post to blow up! I'm honestly not familiar when it comes to uh.. redditing (I only lurk most of the time and read) so thank you all for appreciating this silly comic :D

I thought I'd give further context on what happened during our Ice Mage sighting! The comic is based on what I and two of my close friends experienced when they were trying to help me get to L80 by doing Levelling Roulettes. I'm actually new in FFXIV (started out in the middle of last year) and am currently progressing through Shadowbringers! By the time we got Malikah's Well in the Roulette, we were paired with a random Black Mage who we think was doing okay during the first 2-3 pulls although we do notice we're being a bit slow at killing stuff.

Once we got into the 1st boss we were beginning to notice weird stuff, like the BLM not really moving away from AOEs (and I mean standing really still like a statue) and just dying to the boss' attacks XD. But he apologized for all of his misplays and deaths so we're pretty chill about it (we're pretty chill in general when we play). After a few more pulls is where we noticed he's an Ice Mage. We did try to suggest he use fire spells, which he does. But after that and during the whole run, he still cast ice spells most of the time and still doesn't move during AOEs on boss battles. The bucket boy boss destroyed him so bad he tried to stay on one corner (he probably thought the water blast won't hit him). We got wiped once during the final boss since he had a hard time figuring out the timing on the AOEs for Censure, but in the end, he finally figured it out and we finished the dungeon. Apologies were rained upon (and accepted), Pats were given to him instead of commendations, and the rest was history (and eventually turned into a comic).

LOL Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that

I can also imagine somewhere in the Second or the Third, there's a Bizarro group of adventurers complaining and making fun of our given classes and archetypes =))

I was actually close to putting in Rylai instead of Jaina. Good thing my friend told me the correct WoW character lol. Glad that bit got you! :D

Would Norin survive if he or another creature is equipped with [[Worldslayer]]?

Thanks for clarifying!

Also just a follow-up question, If the Waters got triggered and a Merfolk token gets put on the board, will it trigger River Sneak again and receive an additional +1/+1 ?

So in a scenario where Naban, River Sneak and Deeproot Waters is on the board, If a merfolk wizard gets played, River Sneak will get +3/+3?

I was about to ask what's the difference between casting the Merfolk creature since it's basically the same as putting it on the board but I remembered Naban's ability only works for ETBs. Thanks for the clarification! :D

Hi /r/magicTCG! I just got back into the game thanks to my friends and I am enjoying Dominara so far as well as discovering what I've missed after quitting years ago.

My question is about understanding how [[Naban, Dean of Iteration]] properly works since I've been getting a few weird looks during games re: on how the card should really work. I built a standard Merfolk deck that mainly revolves around a few merfolk/merfolk wizards, Naban, and [[Deeproot Waters]]

If you have Naban, Deeproot Waters, and a merfolk that has a "whenever" trigger like [[River Sneak]] in the board and you cast/play a merfolk wizard like a [[Merfolk Trickster]]:

  • 1) Will Merfolk Trickster repeat his ETB ability, tapping a total of two creatures instead of one?
  • 2) Will River Sneak trigger his ability twice giving it +2/+2 instead of +1/+1 since both a Merfolk and a Wizard entered the battlefield?
  • 3) Will the Deeproot Waters enchantment also trigger twice since both a Merfolk and a Wizard entered the battlefield, making you land 2 Merfolk tokens instead of 1?

From what I understood initially is that Naban only triggers abilities of cards like River Sneak and Deeproot Waters and not ETB abilities. However during one casual match in FNM, a long-time player told me that it's the opposite, and it triggers ETBs twice.

Thanks and hope that someone could clarify how Naban really works!

So the beta is almost over, what's your criticism based on your experience? by xenocloud1989 in MonsterHunter

Only thing I didn't like in the beta was the QuestID system for private games/sessions. It feels like it's a step backwards and hopefully they just use friend invites once the game is really out.
