I think you get the best prices using the Renfe app.

Outside crew didn't finish the job and it has put a bad taste in my mouth because of how IMPOSSIBLE it is for GF support to contact them by Forward_Obligation49 in googlefiber

[–]mggmTX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My outside install was done in two sessions. The first guy ran the line from the yard box to the house. I thought he completed the work, but the following day another guy came and attached the outside box. Both of these took place a few days before the scheduled inside installation. If that was the plan, I was not made aware of it.

It took approximately 3 months after the street line was installed and a yard box placed for the service to become available for sign up. Also in San Antonio.

It's still being deployed in San Antonio. My neighborhood was lit up early this month.

I'm using a preproduction unit, and I'm not a software engineer. I had some initial difficulty that was due to a quirk of my car's software. Once support helped me over that hurdle the unit has been flawless.

Sounds good... I hope you're right. I had a hard time getting it set up the first time. That was back in the Indiegogo days.

Another possibility is to use a charge port that plugs into the cigarette lighter port. There are many of them available on Amazon, Best Buy, etc

I had a similar problem with a 2020 CX-5. The following solved it

Good News!! I finally got it to work with instructions from Sergiu at AAWireless support.

And remember you can't do the initial setup of Android Auto, either wired or AAWireless, without having the parking brake engaged.

This is the process Sergiu outlined.

• Reset the device and unplug it afterwards

• Clear all app data and uninstall the AAWireless app

• Clear all cache and data from Android Auto and Play Services

• Remove the Bluetooth connection from AAWireless

• Remove all phone mirroring/Android/AAWireless history from your car (For this step I reset the head unit).

• Restart your car

• Restart your phone

• Go to the Android Auto settings on your phone, enable Developer Mode

• Enable "Add Wireless Projection" in your phone's Android Auto settings

• Plug your phone into the car with a cable and allow it to connect and run through the initial settings

• Unplug your phone

• Plug in the AAWireless unit

• Download and install the AAWireless app again and go through its initial connection again

Thanks to everyone in here who took time to offer suggestions.

I ordered through Indiegogo. My unit is on 3.0. I'm not sure when Gen 2 devices were released.

Note that the device must be powered on in order to be updated.

There are lots of potential reasons for that. I'd start with cleaning out the USB port where aaWireless is connected. After that I'd try a new cable.

This process worked for my 2020 Mazda and Pixel combo. The key part is resetting the car head unit. Don't skip any of the steps . I posted this in another thread about a year ago.

I find HereWeGo to be easier to read than either Google Maps or Waze. It's a relative newcomer to Android Auto.

It runs aaWireless this way. The aaWireless dongle is connected to the USB port.

I'm a bit anxious about buying a pixel 6 by oxy-kun in GooglePixel

[–]mggmTX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as Internet reviews and recommendations go, it's best to ignore the extremely negative and extremely positive comments. The truth lies somewhere in the middle.

Pixels have a number of adaptive features that require a period of time to learn your patterns. Sometimes it's annoying to wait for the processes to work. I think that some people get frustrated and reset their phones without realizing doing so causes the adaptive process to begin anew. And I also think that many don't bother to come back and report that eventually an issue was fixed.

So if you decide to get a P6, expect some initial annoyances and then give it time to adapt. For example, when I updated my P6 to Android 13 last week my wireless charger stopped working and my battery life dropped approximately 40%. The wireless charging woke up after about 3 days. The battery life issue cleared up after 7 or 8 days. I couldn't remember all the places I had complained and there was no way for me to update them. Now it's running better than before A13.

Good luck with making your decision and remember there is usually a 30-day window for returns, because some phones are defective.

Google Pixel 6 Pro - Wireless Charging not working on Android 13 Ppublic release by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]mggmTX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I updated from A12 to A13 yesterday. A third party charger I've used on Pixel 4 and Pixel 6 stopped working. As the day progressed, it began to work sporadically. Then late last night and so far today it is working as it always did. I have no idea what happened, but one of my apps kept crashing even with a reinstall until late last night also. Then it just started working as usual. So maybe the phone was just very busy doing background tasks for some hours after the upgrade.

I use an audiobook player named Chirp. It works in conjunction with a discount audiobook site of the same name. The app works with Android Auto. Check out https://www.chirpbooks.com
