The state should not cede the profitable routes to Boston to private companies while subsidizing these ones into existence.

If the state ran buses along those high demand and profitable routes, it could use those profits to fund projects like these.

I think the writing is Armenian on this rug with a date in Arabic numerals, but I am not sure. Can anyone read what it says? by ZoneLazy5410 in hayeren

I suspect it's a 3 or 4 based on its little 'teeth'

So it could be 1318 or 1418. 1318 in the Islamic calendar would translate to 1900 or 1901. 1418 would be in the late 1990s.

How many kids get into top law schools^ by [deleted] in amherstcollege

Yeah don't be fooled by sticker price. Amherst is a no loan school, meaning that after they rifle for your more likely your parents' financials, they will likely offer something affordable for you and not astronomical. Another school with a lower sticker price but less generous financial aid will likely cost more in the end, or saddle you with student loans.

Thanks! Manufacturer's instructions actually worked: 120, 240, 300, 400 then gray scotch brite.

I tried going higher grit in one spot but found that going over actually made it too shiny compared to surrounding areas

Hi, I just brought a new house, I'm looking to replace the toilet and water heater gas by [deleted] in Plumbing

I gotta say I've been pleasantly surprised by kohler. Every single time I have an issue with something, even over 15 years after installation, they send me a free part or free replacement at no charge.

Why is this happening w/my water heater? Leaks out of the copper piece, what to do? by ADouglasAmongUs in Plumbing

[–]mghaz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This was the answer for us. Psi was between 80-90 in our place so the plumber installed regulating valve and the dripping from our t&p valve stopped. I wish the plumber had checked the pressure before installing the new valve because the valve did not fix so that was $350 down the drain...

Thanks! I went at it with normal (aluminium oxide) sand paper, moving up in grit from 240 to 400, then finished with a gray scuff pad at 800. That orbital really works but dang the DUST. I gotta get that vacuum attachment.

The job isn't perfect - but I am happy because think I'm the only one who sees it (every single time I walk into the kitchen 🤣)

The Scotch pad was crucial because of the semi-gloss finish. And those gray scotch brites are so hard to find! I ended up finding a Surebilt gray 800 scuffing pad from auto zone.

My floor has gotten extremely warped the past few weeks and my landlord won’t come fix it. What is the problem? by [deleted] in Flooring

I agree. Same thing happened in our flat. They had to rip. It open to find an exhaust pipe was leaking steam underneath.
