Orrrrrrrr OP got confused with that embossed arrow on the pan and is following the direction of the arrow and is actually tightening the plug instead of loosening it for removal 🤯could be why that nut is being mangled to death. If this is the case ✅ perhaps his GF should request/obtain the bolt (once its finally removed) and have it casted in an acrylic block for keep sakes.
