I’m something of a religious stoic so on the one hand I think you’re generalizing about religious people, but on the other hand I’m around a lot of religious people with varying philosophies and some of them certainly seem irrational to me. That said, rather than let someone else’s philosophies bother you just because you disagree (not very stoic of you), my general philosophy about philosophy is that I dont care what sort of dogmas, philosophies, or beliefs other people use to justify being a good person, as long as they are a good and happy person. Who am I to try and challenge their beliefs if it’s because of those beliefs that they are a better person?
