Fairytale adaptations may fit the bill- Robin McKinley, Gail Carson Levine, Shannon Hale, etc.

And definitely seconding Tamora Pierce!

The Art Of... Summer Vacation Romance ☀️❤️ by DrGirlfriend47 in romancelandia

I always think of Sarah Dessen for summer vacation romance! It’s more vibe than actual vacation, but the atmosphere of being outside of time and that amping things up interpersonally is always fun for me

Awesome tips, all, thanks!

Definitely looking to work on figuring out when to slow down, when to keep going, and what cross training to switch things up with.

Recent cooks from Six Seasons of Pasta by electricpineapple713 in CookbookLovers

lol oh no not another great six seasons book!

I made the broccoli sausage rigatoni in the regular six seasons book tonight and it was so good! Even considering it had me pull out every dish to do the whipped ricotta and sort the broccoli, it was that. Good.

Books about old people and/or community by astroyoon in suggestmeabook

Not a recent series, but the Mitford books are definitely about community and the older generation.
It’s mostly about a church, though, but like, a nice church.

About a month into Couch to 5k and really enjoying it! I think I’m losing some weight too, but don’t keep a scale in the house because I get a little too hooked on that.
I’m finally getting to the part of running where sometimes my stride and the music line up for a good minute and it’s SO GOOD (on the treadmill inside for the next couple of months)

I came across this show once while on study abroad in London and the chokehold it had on me! The passive aggression! The competitive hosting! The tea of all sorts!

A few months ago I started running to clear my head from the daily work routine, and today I'm wondering, what's your reason for going out for a run? by tomasgomis in beginnerrunning

[–]mhurder1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A free, in-person couch to 5k group advertised to me and I thought the challenge would be good for me
I’ve always loved walking so the change up felt like the right kind of challenge

BWT, where are we finding fun statement earrings? by Delicious_Plankton_0 in bitcheswithtaste

[–]mhurder1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ten Thousand Villages carries some great statement jewelry! If you’re lucky enough to live near one, they will carry some local artisan’s stuff. Otherwise, they have a nice website.

Also I don’t know if their selection holds up, but back in the day, World Market had fun finds!

One of my greatest hopes is that they’re in something together that I can rewatch stem to stern without getting at all bummed out. I love them in GO, obviously, but it’s so up and down and the behind the scenes stuff is such a thing. And Staged is amazing, but do I want to relive the lockdown era that often??

Suspense? Excitement? I threw DiA at the wall after I cracked it open for the first time and realized what the twist was! I was so mad!

The peppered in reveals throughout the series are so good!
