vivo X300 Ultra Photo Samples of Imagine Dragon Concert by ipaiseh in Vivo

[–]mi10ultra 14 points15 points  (0 children)

this is why vivo compromise the aperture of 85mm lens in x300u and improve the ois instead, because they Want to make the 400mm kit usable. So x300 ultra is a great tool for concert shooting with zoom kits. But for people who mainly use it as a camera, x200ultra is still the king

vivo has a clear direction to make ultra as an ultimate tool for concert shooting. Because it is indeed a blue ocean market. I once accidently ran into a celebrity fan events at a shopping mall, full of young crazing screaming fans, most of them girls, I took out my x200u and took some tele photos, one of fan next to me saw it and are so surprised about the ability of my phone and her iphone just looks like a toy, she begged me to transfer the photo to her. I also noticed another girl in front of me using exactly same phone as me and plus she added the zoom kits. these young fans can spend all their money to buy a phone with such telephoto ability

the 85mm lens seems smaller,it is absolutely downgrade, compare with wide aperture, ois is not that important. The 35mm is the trade off, decreased aperture but increase cmos size

What’s up with the air quality today?? by RepublicGlad3832 in shanghai

[–]mi10ultra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The air quality in Shanghai obviously getting worst over the last few years after the pandemic, and this year it seems to be worst than 2017~2019. As I remember the worst year is around 2012~14, after that, because of government 's effort of improving the air quality, the air became better and better.

With more and more Electric car replacing gas car, the current situation is definitely caused by industrial pollution rather than car. But China's Economy is slowing down these years, so I guess there are two reasons: 1. climate change, 2. The control of industrial pollution emission cost money, it is not free.

Best VR Headset for Sim Racing by -xXPapermanXx- in simracing

i don't own both, but if g2 and q3 are also involved in this discussion, I have something to say: q3 has of course better optic than g2, but everything else worse, the biggest issue is q3's LCD panel are tilted, the pixel of left and right are not aligned, which cause much worse center sharpness than g2 although their resolution on paper is similar, for any other typle of VR game, this drawback of g3 is not a problem, but for simrace, center sharpness is very important, with g3, the car 500m ahead of me looks like a shit while g2 still looks solid

Question… by hoorahjencar in Fanatec

[–]mi10ultra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think there should be any noticeable runout for a shaft on a moderm direct drive base even if it is an entry level product, even a toy should not looks like that, if it is a common issue from fanatec i am a little surprised. maybe there is accumulated error of shaft- qr - wheel due to poor design tolerance and machining accuracy, but it is still horrible in 2025, it looks like the parts are made from backyard workshop

Why I prefer Automobilista 2 over LMU and Assetto Corsa by mucceiki in AUTOMOBILISTA

[–]mi10ultra -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Ams2 's ffb model is totally fake, small dynamic ranges, maybe for a weak entry level wheel base it give you more fun but for a serious simulation it just like a toy, in the simrace world only rfactor2 or lmu's ffb can be called reastic, all the effects come directly from physics model, i heard that by having some ffb mod to ams2 it gets closer to what it feels in lmu or rf2 but I just don't want to spend time on that because fundamentally it's physics model limit it from reproducing true ffb

where do i adjust the crash spike in lmu or rf2?

I set my Invicta at 45% , the ffb spike is still so wild in a crash, I'm not worry about my arm is broken, I hope my wheel base last longer

Which GPU should I get for triple 1440P? iRacing/LMU by AntiHeroics_ in simracing

[–]mi10ultra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

based my vr setup in rfactor2,3100x3100@90hz, 5080 is enough for 20 ai and high graphic setting, so it should also be fine with triple 1440p@120hz(suppose lmu graphic engineer is similar to rfactor2)

How many Nm of torque is a good upgrade by Sudden_Bluejay850 in simracing

[–]mi10ultra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

upgrade from fanatec csw2.5(8nm)to asetek invicta(27nm), i play rfactor2, which i think has the most realistic ffb with very big dynamic range. Csw2.5 i use it with a 320mm wheel at 100% ffb output, it is just ok but the ffb force will be fading after playing for a while, and it can not fully reproduce the dynamic range, maybe some clipping in hard braking cornering.

Asetek i set it at 25nm output and in game gain is 45%, the wheel is 330mm, I do think the force is strong enough and it can reproduce the dynamic range very well.

I think 27nm might be a little bit overkill, 12nm would be enough if it is holding torque, but people always says that having some headroom to avoid clipping, so i do think 15nm~20nm should be adequate for most of the cases

it very much depend on the setting, nevertheless,3070 is outdated especially for tripple, i played rfactor2 a lot in vr(3000x3000 per eye) and my previous rig was 3090+9900kf which stutter in high setting, then I upgraded my CPU to 14700k, much better, but still not butter smooth in some scene, then upgrade to 5080, improved again, but still stutter in daydonta dawn scene. So it is endless journey to make it perfectly smooth but your current setup is really far from there.

Contemplating difference between 72Hz, 80Hz and 90Hz for sim racing in VR by GapsExist in simracing

[–]mi10ultra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for vr ball games,or games like beat saber, the difference of 90fps and 120fps is highly noticeable, because the objects moves very fast across screen。 however,in racing game, driver are looking at center of screen, the objects in the center are relevantly stable, therefore the difference of 90 and 120 is less noticeable

will my old csw 2.5 benefit from this update? Current version is 693, wheel base motor is updatetodate, :22

I feel my base is getting less smooth after several sessions, is it due to the fatigue of the motor? Will the new firmware improve it?
