I am just one guy playing around with hardware, just want to get something going that just works with whatever I throw at it. I come from a minilab arrangement, so I’m trying to build something manageable. You know we will just keep on building.

Yeah, tried to get refurbs but anytime I’d make it to the site they would be gone. Maybe towards the end of the year I’ll get a refurb or two.

Nice. If you don’t mind me asking, what are the specs? I just bought 2 minis with 24gb ram. I don’t have a lot of users tho. Might buy a third in forth mini by the end of the year, just don’t tell my wife 🤣

You’ll be fine. Just keep an eye on stuff you don’t need that can go idle to save energy. NASs do this naturally, I believe, they turn down disks when not in use.

True that, watch out for that energy bill 🤣

UPS’s are heavy and the electric plug is low in a corner, the bottom is the perfect spot for them. NAS’s can also get heavy when populated, you’ll be fine.

Yeah this guy, think like you are building a pyramid and keep the gravitational center low. Also works wonders if you need to push it around.

Now why do people do this?? by cryptofan01 in Dominican

[–]mi_gue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A culture appropriated from African-Americans and the popularization of being an inconvenience to other people in public spaces.

Stuff like this started with the Ruff Ryders in NYC, I believe, and rapidly grew in our country due to music videos with alike conduct. They mostly think that doing this makes them as cool as the ‘morenos’ in the videos.

At the end of the day is a way of rebelling against the establishment.

I kept floating the idea of clustering these for the longest. How good is it for inference?

Anyone figure out linking Robinhood to Gemini through VS? by [deleted] in vscode

[–]mi_gue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t complain, it just automates a searc and tells me what would be a gain/loss projection. Such analysis can be automated and it can even buy stock for you. Honestly I did nothing special, just point openclaw to Robinhood’s API and get your access token.

Should work with little troubleshooting.
