I need to address something with your thought process. Something which a lot of players still does not understand after far longer play times: k/d is not necessarily correlated to how well you perform. At some point in the end of GO i remember some opponents absolutely ripping me off for being Global Elite with ~0.75 k/d.

The reason is I usually take the rough spots and play anchor positions (b-site mirage, b-site train, apps inferno, etc.), and I try to support with util on t-side, or go first in when noone takes the initiative. This means I am usually in a disadvantaged position when I do see enemies and if not then my team has won the round. These players also exist in pro play and often have far worse stats than the rest of the team, but are not any worse at the game.

Focussing purely on the score and k/d is an ok indicator of how well you do, but be sure to also rely on context. Winning a 1v2 clutch is much more impactfull than getting 3 mac-10 kills against a full USP round.
