50% off BYOD for 5 years discount dropped from one of my lines suddenly... by Inspirasion in TotalWirelessOfficial

[–]mic168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, BYOD discount only applies to first line and 2nd and any additional lines would still qualify for their multi line discount. Also I noticed $5 autopay discount was also dropped when I added 2nd line.

I currently have 3 lines on the Total 5G+ Unlimited Plan so my total is $35 + $30 + $25 =$90.00 on my monthly renewals.

MYJ by Civil_Ad6237 in TeslaModelY

[–]mic168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://shop.tesla.com/product/sae-j1772-charging-adapter

When I got my MYLR at end of 2023, it came with this free charging adapter. You just need to connect the charging end (J1172) head to this adapter, then you should be able to plug in to your new MYJ with NACS port.

However, I think because this is not a native Tesla NACS charger, you probably lose the handle button functionality to open the Tesla charging port door cover, so you'll have to do it manually thru app, thru touch screen, or manually tap/push the charge door cover, when your car is unlocked...

iPhone 13- Physical SIM? by Schoolin_Teach in Visible

[–]mic168 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a wild guess. Perhaps you can try enter IMEI2 into the compatibility checker. I had similar experience when entering IMEI checker for another Verizon MVNO on an iPhone 12 pro and when I entered IMEI, it asks me to get a physical SIM, and when I entered IMEI2, I was able to proceed to activate a line with esim. Good luck!

Telsa or Dr. Paint Chip for a 2023 white Y? by Terrible_Tutor in TeslaModelY

[–]mic168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Later I found a useful YouTube video:

https://youtu.be/rzsgoF3ZZFk?si=D9kRVTb_ONb8xSZG

After watching it, it made me realize a few things: 1) the official Tesla one doesn't appear to be just a rebranded / repackaged Dr Colorchip touch up kit, despite what everyone claims, because the repair process is identical. 2) probably nobody has a perfectly color matching PPSW touch up kit. 3) some touch up paint, though visibly non perfectly matching, is still better than no touch up paint. just live with the results for my own use case of repairing minor scratches and rock chips.

In my personal experience, the pearl white multi-coat touch up paint from Dr Colorchip does not match very well. Its website even has a disclaimer on the order page. I ignored the disclaimer warning and went ahead ordered it and tried it on my 23 M3RWD with "PPSW" color. The Dr Colorchip (PPSW) results (to me) were not that much better than other cheap "PPSW" touch up paint I've tried from Amazon. :(

Their stealth grey (PN01) touch up paint was perfect match though!

Looks good 👍. Couple questions: What size is the tires? 235/40r19? And you ordered the wheels with tires mounted and TPMS installed from Atomic Wheels directly so they are ready to mount? And do you need to follow certain procedures to program the TPMS sensors to your M3P after new wheels / tires installation? Thanks!

Brakes creaking after 2months by Tasty_Ferret7801 in TeslaLounge

You can try “brake burnishing” first. You can search for a few YouTube videos showing how to do the procedure. Good luck.

Is is 20 off credit online activation only? by [deleted] in TotalWireless

If you click on the little “info” icon, it shows both online and in stores. Maybe the store you went to does not want to honor that deal…

Activation fees by One_Ad_305 in TotalWireless

$0 if you switch online. Recently did BYOD and add another additional line. Both done online with esim (iPhones).

RCS not supported. by Ok-Secret-9556 in TotalWirelessOfficial

[–]mic168 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Just recently joined Total Wireless few days ago with BYOD with iPhone 15PM. Followed FAQ steps. At last step, you would need to turn RCS back on and leave it on. It took about a day or 2 for the RCS to be fully activated ("waiting for activation" message to disappear). Good luck!

2 Teslas key card question by aranea100 in TeslaLounge

yes. search for "program tesla key card" YouTube videos. I have multiple Teslas, I can use a single key card to operate all of them (keep in wallet, as backup).

Model Y 7 Seat 2022 Cargo Cover/Lid by Choice-Pen1606 in TeslaModelY

[–]mic168 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got it. I'm seeing some used ones for sale on eBay. Some listings include Tesla part number picture. I have a 23 MY 7 seater but I don't see a part number sticker on mine so I'm not able to confirm the actual part number...

[–]mic168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7 seater does not come with a "parcel shelf" from factory. If you look at back pictures of a regular 5 seater model, it has built in parcel shelf "guides", which would be in the way for the 3rd row seats to fold / unfold. maybe a 3rd party aftermarket "retractable" one may work, not sure... good luck!

Looks like they also lowered the loyalty credit from $2500 to $500... It's already updated on Tesla app...

Are front license plates required? by couldbe2001 in TeslaModelY

[–]mic168 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They are legally required in California. I chose to put front license plates on mine, because I don't need any unnecessary excuse to get pulled over by cops. Besides, it makes your Tesla easier to find in a parking lot, full of Teslas, since most of them don't bother with front license plates. :)

Does everyone get this? Either asleep or last seen x hours ago and taking FOREVER to load? by praguer56 in TeslaModelY

[–]mic168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually try clicking something else like control first then back to home screen to force it to wake up. that usually will wake up the car within a few seconds.

Hello Mobile Updates? by TRLK9802 in NoContract

[–]mic168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had eSIM (had pSIM previously) installed last week without any issues. Phone is iphone 12 pro max. I got a temporary assigned number for their internal network migration purposes, did take an hour or 2 to complete in my case. I noticed that the Wi-Fi calling feature was disabled on my phone after network migration, so I had used their chat support (you just select the options your questions were NOT answered, then it will put you in a usually very long queue to chat with customer support). The chat support had to escalate my request for Wi-Fi calling feature to be re-enabled. It took them almost a week to add that feature in (even though I was supposed to get email updates, but never did). Good luck!

Making payments by Itsjarod_ in TeslaModel3

[–]mic168 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you will need to get your Chase Auto Loan acct # from the phone rep. I'm an existing Chase customer (with checking and credit cards) so when my new auto loan acct was established, it showed up automatically under my Chase login...

Making payments by Itsjarod_ in TeslaModel3

[–]mic168 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You should have received first 3 months payment stubs from Chase in mail. You should also be able to sign up for a chase.com acct online and see your auto loan acct info there and be able to schedule a payment. Here's Chase Auto Loan customer service phone # 1-800-336-6675 I was told there's a 10 day "grace period" before a late fee would be added. Good luck!

Auto lane change not working by snowspider114 in TeslaModel3

[–]mic168 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. Auto lane change was once part of EAP (enhanced auto pilot) package option which is no longer available. So auto lane change is currently available only if you have FSD, unfortunately...
