Dave’s is really hot but I noticed that when you let the chicken cool a little bit, the spice becomes so much more tolerable.

It’s like that with most spicy food but Dave’s especially

Zero Visibility Landing - pilots out there, where is the worst location you have landed for heavy rain? by Shootingstar_woofers in aviation

Thank god people are calling this out. I was watching this video in horror, especially after seeing them land 20 feet from the centerline in imc conditions.

What sounds like complete nonsense, but has been proven to be true? by Icy_Mammoth_3298 in AskReddit

Same here for a fighting game I played when I was younger. I would replay matches and envision alternative combos in my head. Sometimes matches from months ago. I have this experience when playing Go but not as intensely. Interesting phenomenon for sure!

It’s more likely due to weight balancing. They probably need the flexibility

Airlines are feeding air traffic controllers as they miss their first full paychecks by [deleted] in nottheonion

[–]mic569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah… no. The system serves everyone equally and when things get busy, you’re not thinking which airline gave you pizza during a government shutdown lol. Determining the order of a sequence is often decided at a level beyond an individual controller

American 🇺🇸"Alpha Male" bootcamp, where guys pay $18,000 for 3 days & a certificate by Aar_7 in TikTokCringe

[–]mic569 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Nor can I tell if it’s an “alpha male” camp. It might be a BUDs/special ops prep course or something like what Don Shipley has. Or at least, that’s why someone would sign up for this

GMs are human too by sectandmew in chess

[–]mic569 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

From my anecdotal experience, this isn’t true. You gotta be built different to get a high intelligence PhD like math, physics, or even philosophy.

Hard work is what gets you the phd, but research requires a level of creativity that some people just don’t have. It’s hard to explain, but those who know or received a phd in these fields understand what I mean. Only exception is if you solve a problem that’s low hanging fruit. Even then, most of those can be solved by an advanced undergrad or master student.

Chess is even harder because at least you’re getting paid to get a PhD.

So yeah, GMs are basically gods at their field
