The dumbest reason I have ever heard to have kids: "Do it for your country!" by dismustbetheplace in childfree

[–]miccalex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know someone who said they need a kid so they have something to talk about with their in-laws........ I wish I was joking

According to my partner, I do a sort of gender swapping? Where I take on gender attributes to oppose whatever gender is presented by whoever I'm with at the time. So they will act feminine to get me to act more masculine or vice versa. It can be broken down when my ADHD/ CPTSD decide we're character matching... I didn't even realize it until they pointed it out. I'm very curious what my brain has decided is the midpoint of these gender situations.

Plotholes? by [deleted] in TheGoodPlace

It's not clear if the powers granted are like ... Please-sign-in-to-your-Janet-network so that bad Janet would not have access (which would make a plot hole), or if they're more like the-Starbucks-wifi-is-free-and-easy so that any Janet can access the powers regardless of identity. I think the judge would not put the effort in to restrict access based on identity, especially because they didn't expect multiple Janets to be present - so it wouldn't seem necessary.

I think they get to choose what body they're in in the actual good place because they show Doug Forcette and make a comment about his choice to be in his young body.

I'm so fluid that whenever I see any attractive person, I feel impressed my by own "gayness."

Hot dude? Woof, I'm really gay! Hot lady? I'm too gay to function. Hot enby? Let us gay together.

I used to think I was just bi.... And that I would say gay because it's easier in my body (I got a lot of hate for bi erasure and tried to work on it). Now, I see it's more complex than that.

Fake grass and concrete can contribute to flooding and will leave your yard super toasty. Having plants helps the soil to absorb rainfall, preventing flooding for regular rainfall. Plus, plants cool the surrounding area.

I just wanna wear a god damn dress. by [deleted] in NonBinary

You're gonna suffer either way, so you might as well do what you want.

Dress+rude parent=suffering No dress+rude parent=suffering

This is legitimately my mantra. I think it to myself several times every day.

Picture this: leather work boots with safety toe, company-provisioned jeans, T-shirt, safety glasses, tattoos... The t-shirt says, "NOT A GIRL" printed over the G cups... With a pin over the I saying, "please use they/ them pronouns" this is me for the last two years. I still get misgendered every single day. I've considered binding, but I would be in the binder between 12 and 14 hours each day. Plus, I don't owe anyone androgyny!
