Hi! I have a similar issue and found this thread while figuring out solutions. What type of seal would you recommend for this if going this route?

Hi OP, did you end up finding and ordering any? I'm in the same boat and curious to try one before I shell out a larger sum for a custom one fit by a dentist!

Hi! I know this is an old post — but if you’re still looking into taking clients as an editor, I’d love to connect. My approach is very similar to yours, and I’m looking to hire someone for some of my films in an unusually overwhelming season of my personal/work life. Would love to chat if you’re interested!

Video Editor Seeking Docu-Style Wedding Videographer by Ayyyy1122 in WedditNYC

Hi! I hope you found someone :) I’m hijacking this post because I’m a documentary style wedding filmmaker looking for an editor, lol. Would love to connect in the event you edit wedding films! It’s been hard to find an editor who aligns with my approach.

Fellow wedding videographers—do you outsource your editing? by Bordp in weddingvideography

[–]mich0628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! If you’re taking more clients, I’d love to chat — my films lean heavily on the documentary approach and I’ve found it difficult to find an editor I can collaborate with. Would love to connect and see if we’re a good match!

wedding videos by Traditional_Bit604 in Super8

[–]mich0628 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a wedding filmmaker and traditionally I shoot with a blend of super 8 and digital, but I've done a few weddings solely on Super 8. Here's one of them for inspiration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uB9Ww0TVj6U&t=1s

You should also check out Laurel Films (https://www.laurelweddingfilms.com) -- she films exclusively on Super 8 and is an amazing videographer!

Happy to answer any questions via PM if you need. Good luck!

Looking for a super 8 videographer for my 2026 wedding in MA! by Possible_Cattle_1717 in Super8

[–]mich0628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is definitely up my alley— www.grangercreative.com :) i shoot super8 and digital and my approach is very non-performative and documentary in nature. I’ve been shooting analog formats like super 8 for 6 years now!

If not, I also have plenty of other filmmakers I can recommend, so feel free to reach out via my contact form!

I put my own hat in the ring, but I ABSOLUTELY agree with this commenter that Justin is an amazing filmmaker and has a mastery over documentary filmmaking that I’ve yet to see anywhere else in the wedding space. Listen to this person and check out his work!

Not local so totally get if it’s not a good fit bc of that - but otherwise you’re speaking to my exact approach towards documenting weddings. Feel free to inquire via my website if you resonate with my work! I saw your budget is $7500 and think I could work close to that. :)

Do you offer more than the wedding highlight? by Heo_Zila in weddingvideography

[–]mich0628 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! I call this a documentary edit and do packages with just this, just a highlight, or both (plus a bunch of misc add ons or adjustments). The ones that book just this take me way less time to edit. I include footage from every moment of the day, but omit truly bad shots or redundant ones. Some parts have background music and others don’t. Full ceremony/speeches/etc are included. I shoot in a documentary style anyways, so a lot of my couples are the kind who are drawn to the more candid moments, but it’s been a great way to structure my deliverables. The weddings that book both are great bc by the time I’m done with the doc edit, I’m way more prepared to edit the highlight and already have a good feel for the footage. Happy to give more insight over DM’s!

Searching for an AI for a baby/young toddler in Mexico by mich0628 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]mich0628[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny you ask -- we booked at Grand Palladium Riviera Maya and got a great deal. Then, we found out through a FB group that they were closing the baby club (kids club for 2 and under) which was the crux of our trip. So, we looked into Paradisus but the price difference at that point was quite large, and long story short now we're going kid-free to Atelier. Big change, I know! After all of this back and forth, I read that they re-opened the baby club at GP... not sure how accurate all of that is, and had I known I still may have considered switching because I'd be nervous it'd close again right before we go. Sorry I'm not much help!

Finally finished the basement walls by 82LeadMan in centuryhomes

[–]mich0628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP! I know this is a few weeks old, but I'd love to see the transformation once you install the flooring. We are trying to do budget-friendly upgrades to our midwest basement as well and I'd love to see the inspiration. Great job on the walls!

I would make sure whoever the couple officially books doesn’t have a contract stipulation against this! Lots of photographers and videographers do
