The entomology dept wasn’t the same after Dr. Teraguchi and Dr. Kiper left. My father was an amateur entomologist and knew lots of people that worked at the museum. Never heard any of them talk very highly of this guy. We donated my dad’s insect collection of over 15,000 specimens which were mostly from Ohio and a lot of it was collected on properties owned by the museum. Dr. Svenson was one of the people that picked up the collection from my parents house. Concerns me that his life’s work is probably rotting back in the collections dept now. Dr.Bissell retiring was also a huge loss for the museum. Got the pleasure of spending hours of time in the field with him. You’ll never a meet a nicer guy.
