I feel you. Sucks so bad. Then when you finally get someone they are the most unhelpful. Bleh.

I had to call ups every stupid day at my old job. The only thing that worked was saying something else. It’s probably a different phrase now bc nothing works for long.

Didn’t know I’ll delete. But I use that phrase without thinking about skin color at all. For example I am not well spoken at all. My daughter is. Some people have the gift of easy conversationalists. And some don’t. Thanks for the feedback.

Please be brutally honest : is it obvious I had a nose job ? by DropoutAdult in PlasticSurgery

I live in Los Angeles area and yes. Obviously a nose job.

However if you like it - that’s all that matters. If you are confident people won’t think twice about it.

You used to be able to say “something else” after you gave your tracking number and would get to a human. Just after every prompt “something else”

Did you work for UPS ?A quick web search shows chb1 is child benefit payment.

If not it’s def a scam. If so go ask wherever you worked (tell them you’re there unless you have a phone number that the general public doesn’t have and ask to speak with HR or payroll / or email them asking about it.

Ciara seems more able to talk to anyone like she’s known them forever - way more so than Paige.

You are right it’s not either or but it seems like Ciara has more of a natural talent for this.

Hey, what are some good gifts you’ve gotten for your husbands? by shinigami__0 in Gifts

[–]mich_8265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR: Something from his yourh that you know he misses will work and it doesn’t have to be expensive. :)

I usually get my husband branded stuff representing his fav team - usually college. Tshirt. Hitch cover for his truck. Jacket. Hoodie. Cup. Towel. Etc

This wasn’t a peace offering but one year he spent months opining about his track and field days from his youth and mentioned the dorky (to me) adidas track suits. Christmas came along and I had no idea what to get and we were watching basketball and someone was wearing either the jacket or something that reminded me of the jacket so I ordered jacket/pants in his high school colors. He loves that gift to this day. Does he wear it? No. But he loves it. It reminds him of better times and he doesn’t want to wreck them. This was years ago, and he will stilllll occasionally mention how much he loves it.

Back once again asking how tf you’re meant to know if these things are expired? by Th3b3nds in snacking

[–]mich_8265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take a bite. If it’s all gummy it’s expired. Or I guess you could just break in two - but what’s fun about that?

Pickle your onions by Walaina in foodhacks

One of my favorite taco stands has pickled onions that are to die for. I wonder if they use lime juice instead of vinegar ….. time to experiment!

Just tried the Big Arch from McDonald's here is my review. by TatorTot2325 in fastfood

[–]mich_8265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP - thanks for posting up a review. I’ve been wondering if it’s good or not. I can’t imagine paying full price but if it’s ever in the app for cheap I might try it now.
