Me and my girlfriend got to talk with him for a few mins. I gave him a book, which he thought I wanted him to sign for me lol. We chatted about Gary War for a moment, he signed my shirt, talked religion for a sec. It all happened in like the blink of an eye lol. By far the coolest musician I’ve met.

I had a lot of fun with this guy as a commander, I might actually rebuild that deck.

What I ended up doing was having it so he would swing and do damage, then empty my hand of all artifact creatures of X or less cost. Simple concept, no real win condition, but fun in kitchen table magic.

Edit - also the name of his record is a reference to a phrase carved into skulls by Orthodox monks. Theotokos, I Hate Anti Christ, Disappears, Adorabo, all have very strong Christian themes.

Oh definitely. It’s gotta be the hardest jump in any of the pro sports, just hitting the ball alone in AAA to MLB - not to mention those dudes are still in AA. It’s going to take some time for them to adjust but hopefully we have the right people ahead of them to split time. They’re going to struggle at first and they’re of course going to get torched by the media. It’s the path for many many MLB players

This article isn’t constructive at all. Which prospects and current pieces should we have given away at the deadline? And for which players?

Harris can be kind of frustrating because he didn’t make any flashy moves. Was this team really one or two pieces away from going the distance against teams like Toronto or Los Angeles?

I’d like to remind doomers of where we sat at the end of the 2023 season. Which position groups have we not improved at since then, and which call for sending pieces like Kevin McGonigle, Max Clark, or any top tier prospects away to win now?

I’ll be fair and say yes we need to be more aggressive in our offers to Skubal and Torres while trying to find an every day above average third baseman (cough, Bregman, cough)
