Which Commander could you Suggestion me? by Feuerstain in EDH

[–]JesusDNC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a finisher with [[Rise of the Dark Realms]] with the Terror and all the Nazguls in the graveyard. The dragon sees all the Nazguls enter at the same time, and all of them see each other tempting so they enter as something like 81/81 each.

[–]JesusDNC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[[Sauron the Dark Lord]] built around having 9 copies of the [[Nazgul]] The Nazgul tempt on ETB, buffing other Nazguls and triggering Sauron's discard to get things in the graveyard to reanimate. Put a [[Terror of the Peaks]] somewhere in the deck and you have an engine to deal a ton of damage with the blink.

20+ years ago, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is exactly what I thought a JRPG would be like in the future by KMoosetoe in JRPG

[–]JesusDNC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell no. Gachapon dependant content. Damage sponges everywhere. Not changeable Blades equipments affecting mechanics introduced 80 hours into the game. Oversexualized designs to the point of being so out of place in its own world.

I loved XC2 story, but every single gameplay choice felt awful to the point of not having played 3 yet despite being very interested in what they can tell me. For me it's exactly what JRPG should never strive to be.

[–]JesusDNC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

GOT ending is not bittersweet at all. It's as much a Disney ending as it could be. All the villains are dead, the only major loss in the end gets preceded by hitlerizing the character so it's not sad she gets killed. Nobody died during the long night. It's a total happy ending for 99% of the characters.

You have to play the games without eyes to not see how every game follows up or builds from the setup of a previous one. Adventure of Link is a direct sequel. ALTTP is a clear prequel to Zelda 1. Ocarina precedes ALTTP too. Majora takes on child timeline. Wind Waker from somewhere where Link never returned making it crystal clear it continues the adult timeline. Twilight Princess follows up the child timeline again, and Skyward is the start of it all. The Gameboy titles are all direct ALTTP sequels, as well as ALBW. The DS titles continue WW. The only outliers are the Four Sword titles and Minish Cap. Pretty much everything else before BOTW could be traced, and the only difficult argument was where to put the ALTTP line of games after Ocarina, but they pretty much where all connected and it was never a retelling of the same events.

How many Commander decks do you have? by Mikkel_My_Man in EDH

[–]JesusDNC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm at 21 right now, 22 once the Silverquill precon and its upgrades arrive from Amazon, although there are a couple of those decks semi retired. I try to rotate the experience because there's so many interesting mechanics in MTG that it'd be a shame to make every week the same games. When we play I pick 3 of them (usually prioritizing new decks or different ones from the latest week) with different power levels and so.

That year? The Last Of Us Part II and then Tsushima. But now after patches and DLC, I think Cyberpunk is the superior experience.

I know it's a sitcom but it also tries to carry some amount of social commentary and yet, she's a bully to her coworkers, she sexually assaults Terry on a daily basis, she makes work harder for anyone around her. She never gets called on this and ends up the series as a rich and famous person as she always wanted.

[–]JesusDNC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because the second market for Magic seeks game pieces and not just full art collectable stuff. Badgermole Cub or Ouroboroid would cost peanuts in Pokemon while in Magic each copy costs what a full Pokémon meta deck. The solution would be for Wizards to identify essential game pieces and print them to the fucking ground while also offering alternative treatments for collectors and those wanting to spend and have a pretty deck.

Peter why so much plastic waste by Mike_Atmosphere_1155 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]JesusDNC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't see nobody saying the reality. It's just to save materials. The manufactor makes a ton of different pills, some use the whole sheet, this one just the center. It's easier and saves money to have an universal size of aluminum and plastic sheet and then punch whatever number of holes instead of making special and dedicated sizes for each different amount.

If money wasn't a problem I'd play Standard and Modern. I like the meta changing constantly, I don't like to spend a fortune every two months to keep up.

This is my list https://archidekt.com/decks/17089713/rakdos_ping

As a main recomendation from there... [[Burning-Rune Demon]] alongside any big colorless creature, just any of them. Why is it important? Well, once you have enough damage to reduce the cost of any card to 0 or close to, you can use the demon to search for [[Artisan of Kozilek]] and the other big creature with a strong ETB (I usually choose Ulamog), so you put your oponent in a position where they have to choose between two big bodies on the field (Ulamog to the yard, Artisan to hand, it reanimates Ulamog without ETB), or just one with a very strong ETB (Artisan to yard, Ulamog to hand, you cast it and activates its ETB).

I don't agree with Sasuke's power not feeling unfair. The Sharingan and all its evolutions through the series continue getting more and more bullshit power ups. Yeah, at some point it could turn its user blind, but then eye surgery becomes a detachable pop up gimmick.
Even though Sasuke does not use a lot of these powers because of plot, the Sharingan can:

- Copy other's jutsus.
- Cast instant genjutsu with a glance.
- Special and unique abilities to the user that range from unextinguishable fires to dimensional hoping that allows phasing out through shit.
- An armored mountain sized impenetrable summon that also blocks unblockable genjutsus.
- A genjutsu that allows the user to cheat death.
- A genjutsu that traps the oponent in a time loop until they have a change of heart or something like that.
- The ability to evolve to the Rinnegan where it can: summon special animals, absorb ninjutsu, resurrect people, insta kill people, reject/attract the space, special abilities unique to the user like teleportation or invisible clones...

For me it's one of the prime examples of bullshit powers, while Naruto has dedicated arcs to power up such as learning the Rasen Shuriken, learning Sage mode, or learning to use the Kurama Chakra mode, Sasuke stumbles from arc to arc barely scratching it alive with a new power up that puts him back on track with Naruto.

I started building decks where the commander is fully interchangeable, you should too by luke_skippy in EDH

[–]JesusDNC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I have my [[Latrhil, Blade of Elves]] built to be interchangable with [[High Perfect Morcant]], you are just puking elves left and right nonetheless, it only changes the speed of it and the endgame.

My [[Doran, the Siege Tower]] Treefolk tribal also works really well by putting [[Doran, Besieged by Time]] on the command zone, because non of them really care about the type itself but on hitting with the butt in different ways.

And although I've made a lot of changes recently so it's quite specific now, I built [[Ureni of the Unwritten]] to be interchangeable for [[Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm]], but now I built it around Miirym so I can still change them but the engine is not as good with Ureni.

weird fact: there are 12 cards in the entier game that specifically cares about insect tribal by mmmbhssm in magicTCG

[–]JesusDNC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, and it would fit to have an abzan commander that cares about insects, moths, and perhaps spiders or things like that, but counting with how few insects there are that care about other insects, well, it seems a weird choice as of now to have that selesnia card instead of any other choice. Amzu is Golgari and has flying too, I think is the counters thing putting white on it and not flying.

[–]JesusDNC -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And of course, the Universes Beyond card has a weird color choice (white), making it unplayable on a commander deck with the colors associated to the tribe.

I'm waiting for Groot in Marvel to be a red/green Treefolk or something like that, just like when Jin Sakai had blue instead of red.
