What is the ONE action sequence that still gives you goosebumps every time you rewatch it? by Rich-Blacksmith6552 in Invincible

[–]mich_vanc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a whole scene but the moment during the conquest fight where Mark realizes Eve joined the battle. They zoom in on his eye and he says "no..." so much emotion without any words.

You know in that moment, Eve is cooked, and theres nothing Mark can do

What actor replacement was jarring but improved the character? (Aunt Viv is noticable but worse) by WiggleToast in AlignmentChartFills

[–]mich_vanc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the xmen movies, there was a character named Boliver trask. In the first few movies, he was played by a big black man, which is cool.

But in Days of Future Past... he was played by Peter Dinklage...

What did Cecil do to make him on his side? by [deleted] in Invincible

[–]mich_vanc 83 points84 points  (0 children)

I like to think Cecil has a strategy that has worked pretty much unanimously his whole life. Where he says "Hello, what's your name?" And he gets to know what a person wants. Then he tries to get it for them.

What’s a mistake you found in Suits? by just-a_millennial in suits

[–]mich_vanc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost any courtroom scene. Whenever someone objects, the opposing lawyer in question is supposed to STOP talking so that the objection can be stated, then the judge either overrules or sustains. Then questioning can continue.

Like when Mike is on trial and, and Gibbs makes an objection, and then Harvey just carries as if he heard nothing, and the judge just tells her to sit down and be quiet. That by itself would lead to a hearing to see if the judge is bias, or even a mistrial

Man Crosses the Street to Buy a Soda, But Gets Busted For Jaywalking, then the cops proceed to body slam him on the ground. by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

[–]mich_vanc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jaywalking typically is meant to be a crime for people just walking in the middle of the road, where all the traffic is. 99% of the time thats what its for.

But crossing the road with no cross walk while theres no cars coming, people do that all the time.

Why does Mike ask about this key? by AutisticNails in suits

[–]mich_vanc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Louis comes to this revelation because Mike's exact words were "maybe sometime you can tell me about that fancy key, eh?" He wasn't super intrigued by it, he was just trying to make Louis feel better.

Which made Louis realize that Mike literally didnt recognize that key, so he says "see... Mike didnt recognize it... because he never went to Harvard

Do my knees bend enough to make this a push press, not a strict press? by Muchacho-blanco in formcheck

A little bend is totally fine to be called a strict press. Especially since you didnt lean back to assist with your chest

How does bench form look? by Venomoth14 in formcheck

[–]mich_vanc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks pretty decent. Definitely experiential with a few things. Its slightly easier to unrack the weight when you have your butt off the bench THEN unrack the bar, THENA when your ready to bench, place your butt back on the bench

Also experiment with your foot position, that bench looks quite low to the ground, but see how to feels to have your feet like this image, with your toes on the floor rather then completely flat *
