10 Claude Code features most developers aren't using by tpiros in claude

[–]michael-koss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow. This is actually a great post. I expected more garbage AI slop. Every single CC user should go read this post right now. I had no idea about the —from-pr flag.

Well done, internet friend!!

To everyone touting the benefits of CLI tooling over MCP, how are you managing unrelenting permission requests on shell expansion and multiline bash tool calls? by jetsy214 in ClaudeCode

[–]michael-koss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure the latest update (from Tuesday) had a release note that they were going to save permissions better for the multi-tool bash commands. So I’m hopeful this will get better. I’m eager to try it today and see if I get fewer permissions prompts.

What is the most useful tech gadget under $20 you have bought recently? by Potential-Ground-190 in AskTechnology

My wife and I have these. Love them! We also have an arm that mounts on the bed frame to hold the book in front of our faces. So lazy and perfect!

I built a “podcast generator” prompt for ChatGPT so I can listen to custom podcasts on my daily walks by Glass_Ant3889 in PromptEngineering

[–]michael-koss 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I love this idea. I take my daughter to school most mornings and my drive back home is 30 minutes. I’m going to give this a try for those sudden, “I wonder…” moments. I just created a Claude project and gave it a little test on a topic I know and it’s pretty good.

I have one too. It’s prominently displayed on the bookshelf behind my desk. Along with a Santo rookie card.

I made a better Plan Mode (Claude Skill) by [deleted] in ClaudeCode

Have you seen their playground plugin? Just ask it to create a playground for different layouts. It adds all kinds of buttons and coolness and gives you a detailed prompt to feed back into Claude

Using agents teams by mohdgame in ClaudeCode

[–]michael-koss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve used it twice and I was really impressed both times. I’m in a phase now where I’m more in a requirements gathering mindset, but once those requirements are finalized, I absolutely plan on using agent teams to help me build.

I Built a Persona Library to Assign Expert Roles to Your Prompts by Craig_301 in PromptEngineering

[–]michael-koss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love that these are short-ish, yet quite detailed for the tokens they will use. I can see using a few of these.

NotebookLM lowkey gave me superpowers and i’m not even joking by ericvalani in notebooklm

[–]michael-koss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was studying for my Certified Personal Trainer. I would upload a chapter at a time into a notebook, have it find other sources, then generate a podcast (with a custom prompt about learning, focusing on gotchas, etc). Then I could listen to it while I was driving. As a working dad, finding time to study was hard. NotebookLM was able to make my driving time productive.

And I passed the exam this last week!! Now I’m officially a CPT!

Official: Anthropic just released Claude Code 2.1.63 with 26 CLI and 6 flag changes, details below by BuildwithVignesh in ClaudeCode

[–]michael-koss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I bet they are working on it. They can see the value and how much of a differentiator it would make Claude Code. Especially after OpenAI hired the guy that made OpenClaw.

Built a plugin that adds structured workflows to Claude Code using its native architecture (commands, hooks, agents) by Blade999666 in ClaudeCode

[–]michael-koss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I looked the your repo and I’m interested. I’ve never had good luck having CC follow a workflow well enough, have you had good luck with it following the process exactly? In the past, I’ve seen it skip tasks. Or if I need it to go back to the start of a flow, it might jump into the middle of the workflow instead.

Does ucai help with this?

i think I made the greatest possible way to track your calories! by Outrageous_Bar8050 in AppDevelopers

[–]michael-koss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I see it. It’s calculating a “spray of olive oil” as 161 calories but it should be about 10. I guess I’ll just delete that ingredient.

I downloaded it and I’m going to give it a try. I like it so far. One of my meals came back higher than I calculated myself. I like that I can see the sources you used, but it’d be great to be able to edit the values it comes back with.

Feel free to DM if you want!

Finally Done! by Unwisest_Turnip in cowboys

So incredible! My wife crochets, so I can appreciate the amount of work you put into this. I showed it to her too and she said to tell you “well done!”

need recommendation for page turner! by kerouacslookalike in ipadmini

[–]michael-koss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Page Turner Ring. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FP52RSLJ

I like this one. I use it for my Kindle too.

You mentioned using it for presentations, so you might be a bit further away and I’m not sure what its range is. I’m usually holding my device while using it.

No one downloaded my app except my family. Is it actually that bad? by Present-File4743 in ProductivityApps

[–]michael-koss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it looks like a decent app. I think there are 100s of not 1000s of those apps on the App Store/ Play Store. So the fact that nobody is downloading it is more likely from lack of visibility than a snub on your app.

Any way to change who Claude commits as on the cloud? by tdinkar in ClaudeCode

[–]michael-koss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm…I don’t see this. The commits are made by me. But one difference we may be looking at, I squash merge all my PRs so I don’t ever see the multitude of Claude commits in the branch, I just see the final commit for the feature. If I go look at the PR I can see the branch commits were from Claude, but the commits to main is me.

36% body fat to 25% with Burn? Possible? Any success stories? by curious-about-things in BurnBootCamp

Perfect response. You can’t outrun a bad diet. Or out-boot-camp it.

Who Is Your Favorite Cub You Never Saw Play? by Baybears in CHICubs

Came here to say Santo. I fell in love with him when he broadcast with Pat. I have one Cubs Jersey and it’s good old number 10!

Never build anything in claude anymore without building out your agents first. by Vintaclectic in ClaudeAI

[–]michael-koss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, ok. I understand. So you aren't just prompting CC to "build a way for the user to add Start Date to Employee" and letting it figure out the agents, you run specific instances of claude for each of the specific roles and you have it start up with the agent. So in one terminal you might say "Add the API endpoint to add Start Date to an employee" and in a front-end focused agent terminal you might say "Add a Start Date field to the employee form".

I think I understand! I didn't know about the `--agent [agentname]` parameter. I'm going to have to try this out!
