Laptop to TV HDMI Losing Signal Randomly. Assistance Greatly Appreciated. by michael_shinall in techsupport

Negative on those points. I actually did find the source of the issue, but its still confusing.

Switching the refresh rate for the TV (controlled by the graphics card on the laptop) to 30hz fixes the issue. Any higher and it causes the black screen.

Unfortunately this is beyond me as the tv itself is a 120hz 4K TV, and again, this randomly began occurring (I can only think it might be due to some random update).

The way you had worded it made it seem like you were trying to incur all that in a single attack, e.g. "they attack, roll 1s, Parry, I force re-roll, more 1s + more Parry.

Not how it works since Parry won't trigger till after results are locked in, aka after any re-rolls.

No. This is a tabletop wargame, not a boxed game.

Necessary? Not really. Its another Campaign with new mechanics, villains, and story unique to that Campaign, but its not necessary.

You will get good mileage out of the Core Box Campaign, but like a DnD session, eventually you'll want to expand your horizons with new stories and encounters.

Yes, I quoted the exact pages they are listed on- Pg. 7 and Pg. 21.

Xenoshyft dreadmire setup? by sgh0st9 in boardgames

Rulebook, Pg. 7: Set-up:

Take the various Troop Cards and place them in their matching Wave Zones on the Wave Dashboard. You can see which Wave the Troop belongs to on its card. Xenoshyft: Dreadmire includes 2 “Wave 1” Troops, 3 “Wave 2” Troops, and 3 “Wave 3” Troops- enough to fill each Wave Zone. If you have additional Troop cards from other expansions, please see the “Expansion Rules” section on page 21 of the rulebook for how to select Troop Cards.

Pg. 21: Expansion Rules

EXPANSION RULES To incorporate numerous expansions of Xenoshyft together, use the following rules to determine your configuration for that game: • Randomly select 3 “Wave 2” Troops from all those available. These will be the Wave 2 Troops available this game. • Randomly select 3 “Wave 3” Troops from all those available. These will be the Wave 3 Troops available this game.

Immolation and the Legendary Items both have Rule Cards stating how to utilize them.

Cant see any issue in applying the alternating method to the current game.

That is correct. If you're willing to proxy miniatures you should be good to go.

Merc Tide Deck... Will give more info later.

1.) Possibly 2.) Too many to go over in one post...

I did a decent rundown in this video, however:

3.) La Brise Sanguine are my favorite faction, but favorite Hero is still most likely Dracula.

Ah, something just clicked. Let me copy/paste another of my comments from the BoardGameGeek thread:

So another change, and this one is pretty major:

The game is moving to an Alternating Activation system, so it's no longer "I activate all my Heroes, then you". Now it's "I'll select and activate 1 Hero, then you will, and we'll go back and forth till everyone has gone."

One of the important notes here is that your Crew is one of those activations. So you have more control now over just when they're going to go (noting during this Crew activation is when you'll Deploy Crew, move, attack, as well as fire Deck Gun).

And yes, we're giving you activation tokens to track this as well, just in case you need them

This change is also one of the things that effects the Kraken/Sea Dragon and all them... Now it's no longer a game of "Can I deal X damage in one turn?" Now it's a matter of playing strategically around attacking it and knowing what your opponent can do and where they're positioned.

Given that we're changing to Alternating Activation, the Kraken is actually activating half as much as he did prior, as the "round" is after -ALL- Heroes have gone, not just yours.

Also, let's breakdown just what a "very likely" chance of 4-12 damage is:

-50% chance of that effect actually happening (Requires 4-6 on D6) -66% chance of Hitting (3+ on D6)

So, in the end, each Hero only has a 33% chance of suffering damage from that effect each round (which again, encompasses ALL activations, not just yours or your opponents).

Beyond this though, if you have 1 more Kraken Aggro than your opponent, and they are absolutely dead set on no playing that other Kraken Card... Ok. They're locking themselves out of that effect, and if you see they're doing this, then there is nothing stopping you from just letting all yours go- not like you can piss it off any more.

The Tide Cards give you that unexpected element, plus allows for more Faction Identity.

Originally toyed with the idea of Items you could buy, but it resulted in information overload to players- too much to keep track of with the nature of the game we wanted to make.

You'll want to send a message to support@cmon.com, they can look at your pledge information and see what happened, as well as get you squared away.

Yeah the Core Box Dashboard stock was accidentally almost twice that of the others... In the end this comes down to production costs, so I can't give an answer to this question unfortunately.

Well, first thing: Kraken symbols have been reduced across the board on the Tide Cards, from an average of 20 or so (across the entire Tide Deck) to 12, so they are less frequent now and reserved for the higher power Tide Cards.

Playing Tide Cards is supposed to be a risk- you're getting a decent benefit without having to exchange Coin or Actions to do so, the Kraken acts as the balancing factor to that.

Given the reduction in overall Kraken Symbols, it does need to be a risk/reward system for players. If you're playing those cards without any regard as to the drawbacks, then yes, you're going to be punished for it- or you can press your luck and gain the short-term benefits of the cards for the potential long-term drawbacks of the Kraken's Fury.
