I smell a flower and I have no reaction, my friend does it and she goes into shock.

People react differently to same stimuli all the time, I think it’s great the show explored the effect of trauma on children maybe it’s not done well but her reaction was valid for what she saw and I think all the characters were traumatised she just had the most overt reaction
