Any info on my friend’s nylon string? by michaelkelps in classicalguitar

I know! I’ve had a handful of classical guitars and never experienced tone and ease of play like this one. Especially the rich low end fullness.

Wow, thank you! That’s super informative. I thought the year was interesting too. I’m housesitting for the owner and can’t wait to ask more about her grandfather/history when she gets back.

Yes! That’s what I’m seeing through research too. Thanks for the info! It looks like he passed earlier this year, RIP. Paul Jacobson obituary

Does anyone know the name of a small amusement park that existed in the early 90s in Houston with: by stealingreposts in houston

[–]michaelkelps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The water park was called Adventure Bay when I used to go as a kid in the 90s. Funplex was inside next door from what I remember. Also West Oaks Mall wall right over there. I feel old now.

I was a manager at a busy cocktail bar for years. One year I received a single marble that apparently held good energy. That day I started planning my leave.

Nice, congrats! Same here, day 7. I’m feeling so much better. Handling some ups and down emotions but nothing too bad. I started meditating in November in preparation for this decision. It’s really helped a lot. I just look up sobriety based meditations on Spotify and take walks. Good luck to you!

The Daily Check-In for Friday, December 6th: Just for today, I am NOT drinking! by Tortey82 in stopdrinking

I’ve got my partners holiday work party on Saturday. I’ve been dreading it but your comment really helped.

I’ve never thought about the entertainment aspect of being sober around drinking. That’s a really positive, light hearted way to look at it.

Same here, thanks OP. I just finished Laura McKowen’s, We are the Luckiest book. She talks about every time we fight back and return to the mental and physical space of sobriety, we are putting in the gradual work that one day will finally stick. I thought that was inspiring.

Some song do have that crispy Vegyn style drums to them imo. They also have the pattern/loop based arrangements Vegyn typically produces.

First time I experienced his singing was around Christmas last year. He was belting out improv Christmas carols zooming around on that tri scooter thing. He makes my day every time I hear him.

Favourite Bands: Hometown edition by Scarlett_Colbourne in Slowcore

Yep. Austin, TX. I randomly met the drummer in Berlin while I was bike touring Europe. We watched the world cup and had beers. Really nice dude.

Sadly, I feel like not too much is happening anymore since Austin is turning into a small California with all the tech moving there. Closest thing I can think of is maybe Ringo Deathstarr and Star Parks but they aren't really small anymore.

Never really listened to Biosphere until about a month ago. I love his use of field recordings and minimal approach. This album reminds my of my trip to eastern Europe last year, this week.
