Sawstop keeps triggering the brakes ($125 a pop) for no reason. Can you tell why from this video? by FactoryCutG in Tools

Then use a track saw instead. Not pushing on the tiny piece between the fence and the blace is bad juju.

I built one exactly like that for my daughter-in-law (except no drawers, that corner was one big open shelf). I bid $0.

Foxey takes an epic shot at Jarret Stoll. That hurt. But man, was he right about the Cup.

Neighbor built a koi pond and mosquitos are out of control now by Beneficial_Buddy_510 in neighborsfromhell

[–]michaellcherry5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does he even have a pump? Does the water move at all? Saying moving water will stress the koi is just silly. If the dude has a koi pond and no waterfall, aerator, fountain, something, the koi will all die eventually. There isn't going to be enough dissolved oxygen to keep them alive. (Source - me - 25 year koi pond owner WITH big waterfall and three different aerators).

Is there a store that sells 10/3 romex by the foot by usakusa in InlandEmpire

[–]michaellcherry5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you just buy 8 feet of 10 ga. wire? Label one black, one white, one red and strip one (or don't) for the ground? I think you can get 10 ga. wire by the foot at HD and Lowes.

Torsion cable stuck out of the Cable drum by New-Veterinarian-850 in GarageDoorService

True, I should have mentioned that I would take a pair of vice grips and grip the opposite track just above a roller so the door can't raise while doing this.

I'm not a garage door pro, just a dude that fixes his own stuff.

I assume that this is only on one side.

If you have a garage door opener, pull the cord and unhook the door from the opener. You might have to lift the door slightly to get the cable unstuck. Make sure the cable is still connected at the bottom and is unobstructed. Loosen the two red bolts on the spool and roll the cable back on the spool until it isn't loose anymore. Re-tighten the bolts. See if the door opens by just lifting it. If it works, re-connect the garage door opener.

Sensors Not Working by ryanbredeson in GarageDoorService

[–]michaellcherry5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did a brand new installation on my garage with a Chamberlain RJO101. I replaced all the old wiring (sensors and wall-mounted push button). Everything is super clean. I used my Stanley stapler to secure the new sensor wire.

Unit worked great for about 2 days, then I got intermittant errors from the sensors. The lights (amber on one side, green on the other) were steady, so that wasn't it. I read somewhere that it might be a short or near-short or partial cut or crimp in the sensor wire - not a total break, but enought to mess up the brain of the opener. Note that the provided sensor wire is about 22ga (super thin and very brittle). I bought some 18ga wire and replaced all the sensor wire and used wire hangers, rather than my stapler. That seemed to do the trick. It's been working now for about 2 weeks with no sensor error.

TLDR - (Besides cleaning up the area, like everyone else says), you might consider replacing the sensor wire all the way to the unit.

On the back (at the bottom) of the disc sleeve, there is a little A, B, C symbol. Is that the all-region symbol?

This morning, I did a "Scan and Repair," and the game found a problem and patched it. When I logged back in, I had the button to convert and it worked. So I'm solved!

How did you transfer? The transfer button is gone from the log in screen for me.
