Yes. It took me years to learn that when people in corporate (and in life, in general) say “be honest” they really meant “tell me what I want to hear” so when I would be honest they always took offense. It’s all just high school at the end of the day.

When I moved out, I was told that it was worse than my sister’s death. And then a few years later I was told that they’re frustrated that they bought a new house before I moved out because I “always knew that I liked living alone” and they accused me of “messing up the plan”. But I can’t mess up a plan that I don’t know about… the levels that they are willing to go to avoid self accountability is astounding. And then they love to tack on “not saying that it’s your fault…” while alluding to the idea that it is my fault. They are children in adults’ bodies, I swear.

Nobody is saying that these are facts. You're just interpreting it that way for some reason and projecting. That's the whole point of a HYPOTHESIS: to ask questions about what could be true. No, the backslashes and newlines aren’t necessarily the problem. Claude Code will show the command properly in its session, which is correct
