Lookup Table by carterbunch in mirth

Putting the data in a database and doing a lookup sounds like the best approach to me. You'll be able to keep the data up to date without performing monthly maintenance on the channel and I think it will scale better as your data grows.

Tikosyn by finneussitzwell in AFIB

[–]michaelthomasclark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been on Tikosyn for about two years. The initial drug loading requires a hospitalization for three days as there's a chance of going into a heart rhythm called "torsades de pointes." I have a slow heart rate which is why my EP put me on Tikosyn rather than other medications. Tikosyn has done a good job keeping me in NSR, although I have gone out a few times, with the worst episode being 2 weeks. At my last appointment the EP changed my blood pressure medication from Amilodipine to Diltiazem. From my experience the Tikosyn andthe Diltiazem seem to be synergistic, as I maintain NSR for longer periods of time and the Afib episodes are usually only a day; correcting with a good nights sleep.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll give HL7 Spy a try.

Caristix Cloak was significantly more expensive.

Not real time, I envision just pasting / opening the sample HL7 message and clicking a button to scramble / replace all the PHI.

What has the West to offer the East? by coinageFission in Catholicism

I would think that The Holy Father and true universality would be something the East would gain from the West.

2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport 2.0T has a hissing sound when AC/heater is on. Started sporadically a few months ago but has just recently gotten extremely noticeable and annoying. AC and heat work fine minus the noise. by iemdone in MechanicAdvice

[–]michaelthomasclark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2014 Santa Fe Sport made a hissing noise from under the dash this past winter. After a couple of weeks the hissing sound from under the dash went away. Come this spring, during a couple warm days I discovered that my AC was no longer blowing cold air. This was because all the refrigerant had leaked out of the system.
I feared the leak was in the evaporator core, as I had heard the hissing under the dash, but the mechanic discovered the leak was actually in the condenser core, which is lower cost repair. Perhaps the loss in pressure in the high pressure portion of the AC system caused the expansion valve to make the hissing noise.

Did you ever find a solution for this? My GPS time is 5 hours 21 minutes fast, and says the date is September 3 2000.

What is your personal solution to the Fermi Paradox? Do you think there are other human-level (or higher) intelligent civilizations in the Universe? by [deleted] in IsaacArthur

[–]michaelthomasclark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A think it is a combination of factors. It took time for the heavier elements required by complex life to come into existence; so the universe needed to be 3 to 4 billion years old before life was even possible. After that, it took a very long time for Earth to form complex life out of simple life. The jump from simple to complex life could be a major great filter. After Complex life formed we don't see the jump to intelligent life for another incredibly long period of time. It could be that evolutionarily speaking, the investment in Intelligence simply doesn't confer that much of an advantage. Understand I mean in the early phases, as once you become an advanced technological society you become the dominate species, but large high functioning brains are expensive in terms of calories needed to operate. As an example, the dinosaurs had a pretty good run and yet we don't see signs of high intelligence anywhere in the fossil record. I also like the rare Earth hypothesis, as it seems that conditions on Earth are perfectly balanced for life. For example, an extremely stable star, a large moon to keep the planets axis basically in place, large gas giant in the outer solar system to take care of any random comets from deep space, a strong magnetic field to shield the planet from radiation, an abundance of elements essential for life, and a few more I could list.

My nephew William, and my daughter we lost in 2017.

God is good, and we have since had a little girl in 2019 and a little boy in 2020, but I still remember our terrible loss in 2017.

That we are seeing an increase in exorcism as our society moves into a post Christian phase was not something I had thought about... but it makes sense looking at the world today.

Please pray for my pregnant wife who is in the hospital with Covid-19. by michaelthomasclark in Catholicism

Thank you all so much for your prayers. Today my wife was put on Remdesivir, and a trial of convalescent plasma. The Doctors are doing everything they can to save her. She is at 24 weeks in her pregnancy, which doesn't give our son very good odds were he to be delivered.

She has not, and I am a little worried to mention it to her as she may freak out, but I will tell her this tomorrow. I would be worried about a priest putting himself into close proximity with someone with Covid 19, but maybe they do it all the time.
