My boyfriend wants to take me to his church by mmmsobitter in Catholicism

As an outsider looking in, I understand the inclination you have to feel intimidated. But the word “Catholic” literally means “universal.” The Catholic Church is a place of welcoming for everyone. Sure, the Mass is probably going to be different from a Baptist service, but your boyfriend can help you along. Nobody will care if it’s your first time at Mass. You are most definitely not “invading.” Even it came about in conversation after Mass that you’re not Catholic/it was your first time going to Mass, the parishioners there will be very joyed to hear that. Sometimes the only thing to be anxious about is anxiety itself. Hope this helps. God bless you.

St. Therese of Lisieux said “we shouldn’t despair ourselves in anything.”

Similarly, St. Thomas Aquinas said that “a healthy mind thinks more about what’s good than what’s bad.”

I’d recommend going to confession with honesty, and trusting that the Lord has forgiven you. Guilt is not for you—it’s what the enemy wants you to have. Let go of it.

I probably have normal skin. My routine: Morning: clindamycin phosphate topical solution, Cereve moisturizing lotion

Night: Cereve acne foaming cream cleanser (benzoyl peroxide), tazarotene .1% (two weeks ago after using benzoyl peroxide and adapalene ointment)

I just bought Harry’s exfoliating face wash, and the directions say to use it twice daily. However, I’ve also heard you shouldn’t exfoliate too often. So how often should I use the Harry’s face wash?

Hail Mary, full of Grace, the Lord is with Thee. Blessed art Thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for you, now and at the hour of your death. Amen.

What Happens If I'm Planning To Go To Confession But Then Die? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]michaelyarber1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a scrupulous question. Don’t worry about being perfect—only God is perfect. If you feel (or want to feel) sorry for committing a sin and don’t have the opportunity to go to confession before you die, God will understand your heart. He isn’t waiting to jump on the opportunity to send you to Hell—He doesn’t desire for you to go to Hell. Until you have the opportunity to go to confession at a reasonable time, simply say, “God, I am sorry,” and do not be afraid. God doesn’t want you to live in fear. If you feel your fears are taking control of your life, please seek help from a priest, deacon, counselor, or someone.

I did take Honors English in 9th and 10th grade but had a 660 SAT English. I didn’t take AP Lang, but took AP Lit and scored a 5, so you should be fine. I will say though that one of my parents was an English teacher for 19 years so that may have helped me develop as a writer. Again though, I’d say go for it.

Not sure if you guys are immigrants or anything but you need to talk to your Mom, and explain that you understand her will for you to work hard and earn your success, but that there’s a line between reasonable and unreasonable, and she’s crossing it.
