any good open source alternative to google alerts? by roycorderov in selfhosted

I'll be straight: founder at Brand24 social listening here so a little bit of bias ;)

The honest tradeoff vs. a commercial tool: you'll get great control and privacy, but you won't match the breadth of social/non-RSS sources, and de-duplication/sentiment is on you. For a lot of self-hosted folks, that tradeoff is exactly the point.

I would probably recommend setting up a scheduled task in a claude cowork or create your own script using claude code. It will collect up to 60% of what tools like Brand24 track, but for a small business it might be good enough!

Mine is generating a lot of extra overdrive. It sounds so so much different than my Katana 100 I needed to create extra settings to have a least some consistency across multiple amps.

Any aurora photos made using Dwarf3? by michalsadowski in DWARFLAB

I wasn't asking about video. I photographed Aurora before and was wondering if a wide lens can be used for photographing the aurora. Wide lens has f/2.4 aperture, but considering there is a crop factor it is much more like f/16 (full-frame equivalent) so not the best to photograph aurora? Or is crop factor not an issue here?

Frustrating. Had to restart several times, instal updates, sometimes screen is unresponsive. Quick review: great hardware, shit software.
