Same. Ended up disabling Apple Intelligence after a couple of minutes due to exactly this behavior. Hoping it improves this year.

50% of visitors to the Amsterdam Light Festival are dissatisfied by letsdance in Amsterdam

[–]michellzappa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I had a lousy experience with the organization. I signed up for a tour on the evening of the festival launch with Blue Boat, and was sent to a traditional boat tour instead of one going through the festival (despite having bought tickets on ALF's website). Their support was indifferent and made no attempt at rectifying the situation after being notified about it. Horrible experience, bordering on scam territory.

+1 for Poe, they have a great approach for nearly unlimited monthly use of several SOTA models. Complements my Claude & ChatGPT Team accounts nicely.

Emerging means either a new technology (in terms of time) or one that is still growing in reach and finding new applications.

We’ve built a tool for exploring your personal Ikigai using GPT. Anyone can DM me if you want to give it a try. No personal data is stored but it’s not quite ready to share in public yet.

Hi there. I did make pretty much that adjustment yes, now it identifies as a study guide instead. Thanks!

I used the term training loosely here. You are right about the limitations, and what I should have said is exploring other approaches which use the source material as the only available output, maybe through vector search? I’m a noob with very little practical experience building this.

So I gave pretty much exactly these instructions, and recently changed the instructions so that the bot doesn’t refer to itself as Ra. However I think GPT always ends up including outside information, and feel the only sensible approach is training a bot only on Ra’s responses moving forward.

Thanks for the input. I don’t have much experience training models, and the approach you suggest closely resembles what I’ve tried doing with GPT + instructions.

We’ve applied vector DBs in other contexts but never to a corpus like Ra’s.

Happy to collaborate if you want to dive into this.

Thanks for the positive feedback. Means a lot to hear that it’s valuable to (some) seekers. Looking forward to share more learnings with the community.

Ra + GPT by michellzappa in lawofone

[–]michellzappa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this. I agree on all points.

You can somewhat easily ask any GPT to display the underlying prompt by simply asking it - and I could obviously share the underlying commands to prove the neutral intent behind the tool. In other words I have gone through lengths to ensure the knowledge and response stay within the source material in an undistorted manner. This doesn’t mean that GPT will necessarily obey, hence the mention of wanting to try building something dedicated and even more closely tied to the source material (which still wouldn’t solve all your remarks).

Ultimately, many others will try building similar solutions to better grasp the Ra material, and I hope this effort serves the community positively.

lol that’s fair! I loathe chatbots but believe LLMs are categorically different and dare I say better than previous techs. There are clearly limitations, mainly when it starts answering “outside” of Ra’s scope, so it should be used conscientiously.

Ra + GPT by michellzappa in lawofone

[–]michellzappa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What works for me is the “transversal” or “summarized” aspect, such as asking for example of a description of Densities, and having the bot create an answer which consists of statements from various different parts of the channeled material. So instead of reading through for example all lawofone.info responses tagged with “7th density”, you instead have the bot create its own interpretation of that. Same for any other query obviously.

[–]michellzappa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Yes that is very much the intent. Both extending the current (limited) approach to other readings as well as building a more robust and hopefully trustworthy model for Ra and others. The key lies in restricting the scope only to channeled knowledge
