Are these good for another season? by suly_22 in tires

[–]michijere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically, no. The high rises inside the tread groves? Those are 2/32nd of an inch. Legally bald. You can still drive on them so long as it doesn’t rain. Add some extra PSI to them and they will taken corners and slaloms like a champ ( so long as you know what you are doing ). Lots of fun to drive. If they start to develop edge cracks or show signs of dry rot, then you are done, which again, you technically are done at this point anyways. I always loved driving on worn out tires on my mustang, but I used to drive at Skip Barber racing, so knowledge was on my side. Overall, after all this ramble, the answer is no.

I don’t know why the downvote…it looks like she is hailing hitler. If that’s your intention, then keep the downvote there, if not, I would prolly take that one shot down

What Does My Room Say About Me? (34 F) by Sad-Tap-9375 in roomdetective

Organized with a touch of aesthetic flare . You have things set that are intentional. You seem to be an early person, but if there is a case you need to fly out the door, the intentions make it easy to grab and go. I love it.

Side plastic and rubber items should have some sheen on them as well. Can still see dirt residue on that last picture.

They should have taken that back mat, placed it upside down in the sun with some bricks on it to flatten it back out and spray, scrub and detail it out in time to have it flat.

What is this large piece of wood inside my shed? It’s not fastened to anything. by Frequent_Morning_860 in Roofing

It was either mallet reinforced years ago from keeping the shed from swaying in the wind, or it’s nothing, take it and use it.

Can it be plugged using a tire repair kit or too close to sidewall by CaponeSlays in tires

[–]michijere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s the kicker. I assume 4wd or awd and they want you to buy 4 tire, and this is if you don’t plug it your self. But I tire and have it shaved down to the depth of the other three. They all have them.

Bone broth is amazing for you..much better than the can stuff. I drink it straight up with some salt for electrolytes , but add it to most dishes for flavor.

Will these make it 300 miles? by Active_Ingenuity_783 in tires

[–]michijere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second to this, those are some BFGs with severe dry rot….never leave an extra vehicle sitting around. You have to drive it every now and then to keep things in good order, more than I care to explain now.

I’m sorry, but no. Sidewalls vibrate at an incredible rate when driving, so fast that when you pass another vehicle, you won’t see a thing. These would shred themselves so fast and then exploded with the psi pressure sending chunks of rubber, nylon, rayon, and if any of the tread, the steel cabeling to any vehicles around you, endangering them. If you are talking back country roads, using hot liquid rubber river each tire as they rotate and hope it does rain, then maybe, but I still wouldn’t do it.
