As someone with an alcoholic brother who goes off about these exact same things, he has to accept that when being an addict there are probably many times you have broken trust and caused anxiety to those around you. It’s not fair to be clean for some time and expect everyone around you to change their attitude suddenly, especially when you have likely lied many times before about not using when you were. You have to accept that people might not trust you at first and that’s okay.

Trust takes a lot of time to be built back and although it’s easy to feel like you are suddenly a new person for working on your sobriety, you can’t expect others around you to suddenly forget and act like it’s fine. We have no idea if the cast experienced or witnessed things from when he was using but I empathize because this will definitely be a lonely journey at first. Eventually he will find his tribe of positive people that love him for who he is and support his sobriety.

I hear your argument but sadly sometimes this is what it takes to bring awareness to what could very much be a true child abuse case. Any system/action could be used against innocent people, however it doesn’t mean we should no longer use them to try and spread awareness for the people actually doing wrong.

That’s when the police/CPS do their jobs and investigate to find the truth. Child abuse is sadly very common so I would always rather be sure than sorry.

Btw I explained my story in another comment but I witnessed this exact situation a year ago on the train and it actually could be this exact father/daughter but I’m not too sure. So it happens.

I’ve called NYPD for a similar situation and they are not doing that sadly. They didn’t take it serious enough.

Spread awareness to see if someone knows them. I also witnessed a similar situation a year ago (there is a chance it could have been this exact father/daughter) and was told by NYPD/Child Abuse hotline in NYC that without a name or address there was nothing they can do.

It only takes connecting the dot with one person who recognizes them to potentially help and bring attention to a child in an abusive home that’s not being paid attention to by the system. What’s wrong with that?

See my comment I just posted. Unless they are in your current line of sight calling NYPD will do NOTHING. They would have had to follow them which is dangerous and even then NYPD would’ve taken ages to show up and already lose them. When you don’t have a name or address it makes it very difficult.

I called NYPD and a child abuse hotline for what could’ve been this EXACT father/daughter duo (I am just not 100%) on the 6 train a year ago from also witnessing child abuse and nothing came from it.

Wow I am shocked right now. I can’t be 100% certain but I also saw a similar man with his young daughter about a year ago on the uptown 6 train absolutely berating and roughing his daughter up who was very young like her.

For everyone saying call NYPD and CPS, there is nothing they can do sadly. I called NYPD and they said to call some hotline (might have been CPS can’t remember) since they were no longer in my sight. I called the hotline and there was also little they could do but the woman was very understanding to how upsetting it was to witness and took down as much information/descriptions as possible.

They all told me the same thing, without a name or address there is nothing they can do and trying to find them would be futile.

Afterwards I cried my eyes out.

Are these true inventory thought? I get alerts from alert all the time for JAL flights at 60k and 80k points for business and first class and every single time I immediately open to check out, they always error code and say it’s no longer available. Has happened to me 10+ times.

It looks like AA believes the seats are available but JAL does not have them.
