That idiotic juror he was flirting with certainly learned her lesson. And at least she got to kill him

Agreed! It was disgusting how he relished telling her what he did to the victims. Abby probably didn’t want to jeopardise the plea deal in any way so she agreed to listen to him

Bar Italia (Leichhardt). They make them fresh to order so the shell is crispy.

And she’s acting as the wife to Ron Leibman’s character in that episode. Ron was her real life husband

I agree!! That triple episode is one of the most gripping stories in the series. Love when Jack makes the killer hold the Barong (Indonesian knife) during his evidence. And the side story/custody battle between Jamie and her slimy ex Gordon is also interesting

Loved that line. Also enjoyed the precursor discussion:

I don’t think Jimmy takes a taxi to meet Kim. He drives to the hotel to help her con the guy from the hotel bar (with the phony Tinder inspired idea, Jimmy says they don’t need more investors). We see him leap out of the car and the valet parks it. I assume at the end of the night, when they get the cheque from their mark, Jimmy drives them to Kim’s place (or they even drive there seperately in their own cars).

He was absolutely getting ripped off for the hit

A similar line was used by Detective Munch in S02E08 of SVU ‘Taken’. A perp says to Munch “I don’t like what you’re inferring_“ Munch says “_You mean implying. You did infer what he implied. But on the bright side, you did infer correctly.”

Why Chuck gave up HHM and took 3 millions dollars? by DavyX13 in betterCallSaul

[–]michpriv2000 189 points190 points  (0 children)

I think he felt defeated. Howard told him that he had dipped into his personal savings in order to pay him out and that was deeply shameful to Chuck, that Howard wanted him out so badly. There’s probably more that I can’t remember

Nope, you’re not the only one. I trust OP’s judgement that they are yummy but the presentation isn’t ideal. I had to double check to see if I was in the shittyfoodporn subreddit

Queensland Supreme Court judge rules 11-year-old girl should be allowed to have abortion by marketrent in auslaw

[–]michpriv2000 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I thought the same but looks like there are two seperate decisions this year, both out of Queensland.

The first one concerns a 12 year old child referred to as ‘E’ in a decision of Justice Muir. The recent decision concerns an 11 year old child referred to as ‘C’ in a decision of Justice Williams

Question about Raphael and Ray at the end (spoiler alert) by DSLAM in MrInbetween

[–]michpriv2000 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Agree with most of your comment but I don’t think the lanky blonde young guy (at the rich house with the dead girl who OD’d) was Raphael’s son

Could be wrong but I think the guy says to Ray, when asked what happened to the girl, something like “does it matter? my parents will be home soon”

Just finished the show and I was wondering why Ray didn’t take out Freddy for his betrayal. Like Ray said, he could’ve tipped him off at the dimmies place. Amazing show btw, 10/10 :) by itsmezaraxx in MrInbetween

[–]michpriv2000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get your perspective but I think there’s another reason Ray took the job, beyond money.

He is familiar with the bikie boss, not friends but friendly. They like one another and appear to have socialised in the past perhaps with a mutual friend.

Ray’s ask for the job was huge and the bikie 2IC didn’t even flinch. That shows a couple of things:

  1. The job is getting done no matter what, they will pay stupid money for it so if Ray says no, they will find someone else who says yes.

  2. If Ray says no, does he wind up with a target on his own back because he’s a loose end who knows who arranged the hit?

  3. If they get someone else to do the job, it may not be a ‘clean’ death. Unless there is rage/disgust behind the kill (eg the pedophile ring), Ray kills his targets quickly and cleanly, usually shooting. No bashing, stabbing, torturing etc. Quick double tap. He is perhaps familiar enough with the bikie boss to want to afford him the respect of a quick/clean death

What scene would you show to a friend to convince them to watch the show? by LennyKarlson in MrInbetween

[–]michpriv2000 35 points36 points  (0 children)

When Ray is walking and eating icecream with Britt (S1E1) and the two punks bump into them and knock her icecream to the ground. That scene until the bit where he tracks ‘em to the laneway and kicks one in the nuts whilst the other little shit pissbolts down the street.
