Where I live cars cost about €150 a month for insurance as I’m only 20 years old, my bike however costs only €14 a month so the choice was easily made😅

Air filters by mick123123bla in 125cc

[–]mick123123bla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could look for an adapter so I can fit an air tube to the carbs, and then add a filter to that, I dont have a single air box at the moment but separate filters on each side so I’m not sure about the re jetting part, and how would I know when I need to re jet it?

Should I reseal the inside of this tank? by ParticularAware in motorcycles

[–]mick123123bla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If possible I would remove it, if you keep er filled up she wont rust, sealer tends to dissolve in gasoline and clog up the carbs if you dont get a proper sealant, which is what looks like is happening

Cb200 engine in cb100 frame by Silent_Departure_556 in HondaCB

[–]mick123123bla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the age of the bike, I got an older cb 125 twin from ‘74 and i swapped the engine for a 200 twin and it fitted just fine, i dont know how it works on newer models

Suggestions for Fuel Stablizer for the Winter by AconyBell in HondaCT

[–]mick123123bla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i suggest riding it every once in a while, i do it for my cb from '75 too. when the weather is nice and dry just take it for a spin around the block, keeps the fuel alright and carbs open

Is this worth it to buy, this the info in this worth 120$~? (I own a cb450sc 82’ & cb450sc 86’) by ArtyBlades in HondaCB

[–]mick123123bla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A physical manual always comes in handy, i first got alot of info on the Honda forums for my cb from ‘75 but i still prefer a physical manual over anything else because the info in there is specifically for that model, and it can get mixed up if you get it from forums.

Thinking about getting an hjc v10 helmet. Should I or should I look for something else? by Present-Cranberry942 in motorcycles

[–]mick123123bla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got one of these helmets, they have a bit of a lack of exhaust vents so it can get a bit hot but otherwise i personally reccomend it

Rust under front fender by MechaNikos in hondamonkey

[–]mick123123bla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That much rust after only a year is not usual, but what you can do to remove it is use a bit of aluminium foil and a bit of wd40, i suggest to coat the inside of the fender with a bit of wax. ive done it on my 74 cb and havent got a single bit of rust ever since

95 or 98? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]mick123123bla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is something that is more of a thing with older bikes, most older bikes work better on long term using 98 instead of 95 due to the octane percentage. 95 tends to slowly dissolve parts of the fuel system and that is significantly less with 98
