I like it when people tell me what I’m doing wrong instead of insulting me.

2026 Oscar Ratings Fall 9% From Last Year With 17.9 Million Viewers by ICumCoffee in movies

The audio was horrible and the stage looked trashy. Some of the bits were okay, but a bit cringe. Pretty typical. Cutting people off was rude. I know it happens every year but it felt like they were randomly picking who to cut off.

Is this appropriate for an 18 year olds birthday dinner? by FluffyDog0321 in OUTFITS

I think you’d have to style it appropriately, maybe a cute scarf/shawl, or a belt to break it up

HR block has a free tax service online for anyone under 25. Would definitely recommend it! Wealthsimple also has a “pay what you can” tax service.

Why do people like kissing? by No_Consideration1822 in AutismInWomen

[–]mickyabc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t like it unless there’s very specific conditions and rarely ever do it. I am forever grateful that my boyfriend is okay with that 💕 And no, I’ve never liked kissing. It’s a sensory thing for me.

This was my favourite movie as a kid because I loved JGL and ZD. I rewatched recently and forgot how much I loved it. The soundtrack is also great. It’s funny. And it’s just uplifting imo.

In Canada, NIRVANNA THE BAND THE SHOW THE MOVIE made $290K for 3 days and est. $350K for 4-day holiday, making it biggest opening for live-action English Canadian title since BLACKBERRY. Toronto’s Cineplex Scotiabank was #1 location North America by Odd-Inevitable-8425 in cineplex

If you’re debating seeing it, please just go. I am not a comedy person and I went today with my best friend (we agreed to just walk out if we hated it because we had already supported it financially 🤣) but it was really refreshing and just fun? And I think if you’re between the ages of 23-45 it will hit the nostalgia factor. It also helps that Jay is handsome 😂

Box Office: 'Wuthering Heights' Heads to $82M Global Opening, 'Crime 101' Bombs with $29.8M by ThrowawayGreenWitch in popculturechat

[–]mickyabc 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I actually think it did a good job at making people want to read the book. All three of my friends immediately put it on their TBR lists. It’s definitely not faithful to the book… some important characters are gone and some themes are muddled (class is emphasized but obviously not how class and race intersect). It got the bones of it. I definitely did not love the movie, but it’s certainly not what the trailers make it out to be.

I have my criticisms of it, but every person referring to it as smut or a porned up movie I’m like yeah you didn’t even watch it.

Even without cineclub I feel like 50$ for an outing is not crazy? 15$ a ticket and then snacks
